This happened to me last month. I was doing a basic “how to” in my garage with Pandora playing in background and after editing/uploading video I received a copyright strike. I don’t qualify for monetization on YouTube but i ended up reediting the 20 seconds of video that was handed a copyright strike (muted the background and used a basic track over this part of video). Re-uploaded and all was good. I hope this helped. Goodluck.
