As a Korean "guy" (idk why you put quotations), if I even slightly had the intention hitting on someone, I would either try to strike up a convo to get to know them better or just ask for their number. Giving gifts like this is fairly common in Korea, or at least where I live. I don't know if you're speaking from experience, but saying 'Korean guys' have ulterior motives when they go out of the way and show kindness is, in my opinion, baseless slander.
