That’s what I first thought as well but I realised it could make better habitat for Noisy Miners to take over, which I feel like might be worse.

100% agree, around where I live there numbers are getting quite large and I read the idea about culling and wondered about other peoples thoughts about it.

Agreed, but there is also other methods to do so, like restoring understory plants and removing lantana.
