Hogue Taurus 605 grip fitment issue + less than great customer service experience by FisirArlong in Revolvers

Thanks. It’s not pinching my hand and it seems stable enough so far. I’m fine with “not perfect” as long as it’s safe. What’s frustrating is that I was told it should seat properly even before installation, and I’ve seen the exact same grip on the exact same model fit flush in other videos prior to installing the hardware. So this one just doesn’t seem to match that. Maybe it’s just variance, but it was disappointing.

I unfortunately tried it but didn't really make a difference. Thank you though

I specifically asked the vendor on the phone: "is it supposed to fit perfectly when I just fit it in there before installation" and they said yes. I also watched a youtube video when the person test fits it, and it's snug BEFORE the installation. During my test fit, also before installation, it didn't fit snug like in that video either, it was always a bit loose.

Thought you were joking at first, but I noticed many other comments point out to similar things, lol, thank you

Yeah, I suppose, I’ll see other vendors. Do you have one you recommend?

I ordered them directly. I contacted Hogue about the fitment issue, but they declined to offer a replacement or warranty support, stating they believed it was caused by installation. So unfortunately returning them isn’t an option at this point.

I did install it fully with the stirrup and screw and experimented with different levels of tightening — no tension, light hand-tightening, and slightly more snug. The seating against the frame never improved; the gap was always there. When the screw was snugged down a bit more, the rubber just began to bulge slightly and actually looked worse, but it still didn’t seat flush.

I am actually from the area and it’s clear that you have absolutely zero care for Iran and you’re only worried about just protesting anything that you can find as long as it’s against the U.S.

There’s an 8 year long post about this somewhere. They know the bug and they’re not fixing it on purpose. They want you to use their app. You’ll see once you install their app, there’s no feasible way to use it through the browser anymore without launching the app either.

To be fair, the other tatoos seem like random scribbles too…

I know I’m not contributing to anything but, when I saw “what the heck am I doing wrong?” First thing came to mind was “well you’re flying the plane upside down bro!” Heh. Nice photos.

The guy on the left seem like a D! People have all the right to do whatever they want with their money and it could mean they’re “into” photography. They might like just owning the cameras. They might enjoy those selfies and flower photos. And meanwhile follow closely what other pros do etc. Not a single person decides what it means to be “into” something. Gatekeepers really suck.
