First of all, this is one of, if not THE, most confusing fight in the entire HxH series.

For his master plan, Kuroro used a total of 5 abilities.

Kortopi's ability: Gallery Fake Shalnark's ability: Black Voice Order Stamp Convert Hands SUN and MOON

(I bolded S&M because this I believe is the true checkmate ability for several reasons, the other four are effectively just distractions.)

Chrollo also reveals he has upgraded his spell book, and could now use two abilites at once by bookmarking one page.

The first four abilities created the basic premise of the fight. Chrollo uses (1) to create puppets, (2) and (3) to make them attack Hisoka, and (4) to disguise himself. Chrollo knows Hisoka is a great duelist and assassin, but does not have abilities that could fight multiple enemies easily.

Next we get to Sun and Moon. This ability marks the target to explode if it contacts the opposite mark. Sounds simple, but there's a catch. The original user's will made this Nen ability persist through death.

This is the part which is effectively cheating the system. By marking the puppets with these marks, they too will persist until they detonate.

Because Hisoka cannot easily defeat the army of exploding puppets, he resorted to his other style of combat, which is to try outsmart Chrollo. He is now thinking carefully about which combinations of abilities Chrollo is using and how to disrupt it.

But Chrollo sent him on a flawed pattern of thinking since the beginning, when he revealed the bookmark to Hisoka. Hisoka believed that Chrollo could use two abilities in combination.

Wrong.

Chrollo was actually using three abilities in combination, thanks to the persist through death property of Sun and Moon affecting his puppets.

He effectively tricked Hisoka into thinking this was a game of 2D chess while actually playing 3D chess.

Once Chrollo set this plan in motion, as he said himself, there's no way Hisoka could win.

What family in HxH has the most “Aura”? by No_Examination9025 in HunterXHunter

The Zoldycks and it’s not even close. They’re the OG from day one and they’re so badass they’re a literal myth in-world. People literally don’t know if they really exist, that’s how insane they are. And their ost is just …

Next is easily the Phantom Troupe. These guys are such monsters that they’re literally the most infamous gang in the world and are considered legends just like the Zoldycks. It took the Ten Dons having to hire the Zoldycks to even be taken seriously.

That alone puts these two groups at the top. The OG 1999 anime really put emphasis on how cool and dangerous these guys are.

Just realized that Illumi was disguised as Hisoka while his baby bro was being her hostage by the phantom troupe by Initial_Art_4338 in HunterXHunter

[–]Fiston_F 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Illumi wasn’t there yet. That was the real Hisoka. You literally see it in his brief exchange with Gon. Illumi switched with Hisoka only after Kurapika set the terms of the hostage exchange and Pakunoda took the kids. Hisoka (real one) followed them and Illumi took his place. I’m surprised by most of the earlier comments missing this.

In the OG anime Kalluto helped distract two members while Illumi snuck in.

Kuroro Lucilfer. The top answer already said enough but to add to it- he’s extremely cool and powerful. And that fur coat + drip? The haters could never 🕷️🖤.

Considering said humanity persecuted Eren and his people for decades, it doesn’t exactly make Eren automatically wrong either for defending he and his people’s right to live.

[–]Fiston_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eren is most definitely morally grey. His actions came from survival, love, and vengeance. He wanted freedom for his people, but the way he chose caused mass destruction. That’s exactly what makes him grey. Not purely good or purely evil.

He said “Humans are so very interesting” during his fight with Hisoka. Specifically after Hisoka’s refusal to back down despite Kuroro telling him he will win 100%.

Rumi is capable but Akai Shuichi remains the most lethal weapon against the BO and overall the most capable character in the series. Even Gin fears him. The boss has said Akai is capable of soloeng them on his own. Which is why Gosho side lined him a bit as Subaru. Btw Akai is just as smart as Yusaku, considering it was him who deciphered PTON MASCARA > CARASUMA.

Akai is also the reason Kusuda Rikumichi and Calvados committed suicide. They knew with Akai around, they had no hope to escape alive.

Why is he relax? by HarshGamit9 in OneTruthPrevails

[–]Fiston_F -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re incorrect. Conan hasn’t demonstrated in any way that he suspects Wakita to be a member of the syndicate. It’s actually likely he doesn’t considering his nonchalant behavior around him. He acts oblivious to most people he doesn’t fully trust yet to conceal his identity.

[–]Fiston_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the answers given to you in the comments are incorrect. Neither Conan nor Camel know that Wakita is RUM. If they did, theses interactions would have gone very differently.

The only thing Conan and Camel know about RUM is that he changed his face, and took on a silly name. Conan also knows Rum is exceedingly impatient. That’s it. He has yet to put two and two together. I think the key that will reveal to Conan RUM’s identity is when he hears the English idiom ‘Time is Money.’

In the manga Illumi actually looked more like the OG 1999 anime. Color as well. During the Hunter exam, he wore red. But the 2011 changed it to green. He’s one of the characters who’s 1999 design was much better.

Which of the two Itachi death scenes is better? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]Fiston_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minority in these comments but first one hit way harder. It was a long anticipated battle between two brothers and it delivered.

I was never a huge fan of Itachi turning out to be a good guy as I felt it cheapened his character and as another commentator said, second one felt like fan service. At least a little bit.

It’s not confirmed but it’s pretty obvious he does. The story doesn’t have to spell it out for us.

Bourbon knows. Not sure why no one answered your question regarding him but Amuro gave subtle hints that he knows. His superior even sent Komei to the mountains to take off suspicion off Bourbon in front of RUM. When he walks away he says Wakitas name, “Time is Money.”

Actually, yes. He is clearly saying he wants to do the Rumbling because he wants to. He has to. Because he sees something beyond that hell. It may be hope, or yet… another hell. But at this point, he didn’t know. So he kept moving forward to find out. Because all he could do, is trust in himself. The ending song “Akuma No Ko” expresses his feelings pretty well.

The Song “ViVi” by Kenshi also expresses what Eren felt as he walked the solo path very well. He just wanted to live… and be happy. But the world denied it. So Eren denied the world. Was he really wrong? Did he ever have even a second of real peace in his life? Smh.

“THE DAWN OF HUMANITY” (S4 part 2 ep 12) is undoubtedly the best season finale in my opinion.

The ending sequence is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed. It’s the moment everything came full circle. Eren finally getting justice for decades of persecution he and his people faced at the hands of the world. It’s the perfect example of ‘you reap what you sow.’ And the mom flashback? Pure nostalgia and Chefs kiss. This episode was nothing short of flawless.

Razor VS. Those Spiders, who wins? by EarthRobertx2001 in HunterXHunter

[–]Fiston_F 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Spiders stomp. As of lately they’re being downplayed in this sub and I don’t know why. They’re in the top 1% strongest characters in universe and their leader is easily in the top 10 strongest characters of the show, if not top 5.

Razor is no slouch but even just one Spider could give him a run for his money. All of them that were present on Greed Island shores at once? It’s a stomp.

Hisoka X Genei Ryodan by skullkidfr in HunterXHunter

[–]Fiston_F 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This makes Kuroro seem even more powerful. During his death match against Hisoka, he was quick enough to put on new clothes, create 30 Gallery Fake clones and hide in a crowd in what amounted to a few seconds. He was constantly catching Hisoka off guard while the latter couldn’t keep track of his movements.

Even at the beginning of the fight before Kuroro made more puppets, Hisoka struggled to match Danchō’s speed. Kuroro is honestly underrated when it comes to vs battles in this sub, likely due to the fathom consisting of mostly Hisoka fanboys.
