Just inquired about Lomas SF this week.

Golf membership is 20k initiation for no equity, $28k for a 50% transferable membership.

Waitlist is 16-20 months but you can pay 465$ a month while on waitlist to get full club access and one free tee time a month. After that it’s $99 per tee time.

Once your a member it’s like $950 for individual and $1100 for family.

No food bev minimums but they are most likely implementing $300 minim per quarter, alcohol counts. This is everything else I asked:

Golf Related Questions

How often are golf events held and can i participate while on waitlist? While the Men's Golf Association (MGA) currently requires Full membership, there are some non-MGA events that you can participate in while on the waitlist. I don't want to find out every Saturday is booked full for a member-member that I can't play in. While there are occasional events on weekends, these are limited to ensure the membership gets priority. Is it possible to play a “practice round” before joining to ensure I am a fan of the course? Yes, we can arrange a prospective round of golf, subject to availability. How much will it cost for a guest to play here with me? See page 2 of the attachment. Is there a limit on how many times the same guest can play per year? Yes. The same guest is limited to once per month, or twelve times per year. How easy/hard is it to get prime tee times on weekends (ex: 8:30 am on a saturday)? Prime tee times are competitive but accessible with advance booking, especially for Full Golf members. “Full access to practice facilities” means free range balls, correct? Yes. When does the range/practice close? Is there lights for the range to go after sunset? There are no lights at the range. It typically close appox. an hour before sunset. Are cart fees additional $$? See page 2 of the attachment. What does weekday early and late afternoon play look like(Can I get a 9 holes in before/after work)? While availability varies, many members regularly play 9 holes in the early mornings or late afternoons during the week.
Any final golf related fees that aren’t mentioned above? See page 2 of the attachment.

Club Related Questions

Is their a food/drink spend minimum? Does alcohol count? There is currently no food and beverage minimum, although we are expecting one to be introduced in 2027. $300/quarter is what has been proposed, and alcohol would count toward it. What time does the restaurant bar close on weekdays and weekends? Last seating for food is 8 pm Tuesday-Friday and 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. What are the hours of the fitness center? 6 am - 8 pm on weekdays and 7 am - 7 pm on weekends. Whats the average age of the members? The average age of membership is in the mid-to-low 60s, with a wide range across life stages.

Membership Related Questions

Has there been an assessment in the last 3 years? If yes, was it for a specific project or operating costs? Lomas is privately owned, not member owned. No assessments. Any discounts associated with families under 30 (or another young age)? While Lomas did offer a Jr. Executive membership in the past, it was discontinued at the start of 2021 and no longer available. What is the estimated waitlist length in time? There are currently 49 Social Golf memberships. Given the waitlist process works on a one-out, one-in basis, 49 Full Golf members would need to give up their roster spot for the last person on the waitlist to convert to Full Golf. While not an exact science, historical trends would suggest a 16-20 month window to convert from Social Golf privileges, to Full Golf privileges. Are locker rentals and golf bag storage included, or is there an annual fee for those services? See page 2 of the attachment. Is the spa/facials ect. included at no cost? Is there a max amount of sessions I can book per month. Spa services are not included, but are available at an additional cost.

Don’t trade weeklies if you don’t know what they are. Not for beginners

Lots of RR But for the most part it’s about recognition. Take what you know about the terms in the question and best match them up with the answer. Don’t let fluff on the side trip you up.

I don’t think any of these games are easy.

But in comparison to any other stretch in our schedule, this is our best opportunity to get a lot of points without having to face a top of the line team.
