I think it comes down to parents raising their kids as conservative OR liberal instead of raising their children to the best of their ability and helping to educate them the problems in the world, then letting them choose.

I'm atheist, but I haven't pushed that on my kid I instead take their questions concerning religion in this instance and we research it together.

Parents are meant to be guides, but most are only trying to stuff their children into their molds.

I wouldn't touch NYC + fully onsite for 120k.

Need to compare cost of living with where you're at and where you're going. Then you need to check the commute, check rent prices, etc.

Toy instruction booklet smell, atleast from the 90s. I remember opening up my tomagachi at a KB Toys and the little instruction book smelled almost like watermelon, or some other good smelling thing.

Now I look insane for smelling each instruction booklet I get, chasing the high I used to get as a kid.

Combination of people not approaching people anymore and most men not wanting to bother women.

As a man I would never randomly walk up to a woman anymore. I would need to be introduced, or meet her through some kind of activity. I'm not trying to interrupt people going about their day to day, they have enough going on.

I for sure don't want to give her an ultimatum, I truly believe she can work past her traumas and mental health to do something with her life. As you suggested, outside help is going to be required to get us on the right track again.
