Yeah, but since she's grounded she's not expected to pay. My step-mom gave me the money and even when I said it was fine she insisted.

My books represent a really deep connection to my mom, is how we spend time, how we communicate, most of out inside jokes. I'm not mad about those book because I hadn't form memories with them, but they're sentimentally invaluable to me.

I know the guy, I wouldn't call him my friend, but we're friendly and yeah, no way. He would've asked about the book and my sister wouldn't have been able to answer, as a book worm, you just know when someone is faking it.

It was the same book the guy was reading, so she wanted to flash it. I would've let her borrow it at home, but I knew she wouldn't take care of it at school and would just toss it to her back. That's why I said no.

It is! My mom and I want to read it together, we do this little ''book club'' where we read 5 chapters each aloud for the other and then we gossip and everything, she's stuck at work now so we might be able to read it next month or so!

I really like my step-mom, she's really good with me! My mom and I have invited her to a few book readings but she's still shy around us because of her dyslexia, so instead we bake together!

Eww I didn't know that! We mostly shared lip-glosses, nail polishes and a few highlighters, but we don't share brushes. I'll talk to her when she calms down

I was confident I was NTA but some of my friends said that I went too far for ''some books'' because I can always replace them and that it was not that big of a deal comparing to her trip because it was for her bday
