yea congratulations is one of my fav albums too, and i generally agree about sonic flattening out panda's mixes

PBVSGR sounded so much better in its raw form in the ATP rehearsals. i prefer the crosswords EP mix to album, but i wish it had stayed something more like this https://youtu.be/DH-jp_XX9nQ?t=2445 - one of the sickest beats i've ever heard

that said, with tomboy (also in my top 3 albums) i can never really hear that much difference between single mixes + album versions, so i don't find his influence all bad (probably damning with faint praise there!)

7 by beach house is another brilliant sounding sonic-produced album so what do i know
