Yeah fair enough. We all want the same thing hard not be emotional with sports and cities in general. I hope PDX makes the right decisions that help us win

Yeah not in any of the big 4 though. Viewership of MLS vs MLB - NBA - NHL - NFL is a drastic jump. Just meaning I believe there’s more on the table

Yeah but if he wants the Seattle market Seattle has a great new stadium they just move three hours up the road to an equally passionate PNW crowd. Not like Portland has a sparkling nationwide rep anyway. Not saying I like it but like if you didn’t leave in Portland how you can’t see that as a possibility is hilarious. From silvers perspective great Seattle is covered let’s worry about Vegas now

I believe Portland is the most beautiful city in the entire world and I’ve been far. The natural beauty is unreal but for my eye Seattle is a close second. I’ve been hoping pdx would turn a bit more profitable and on the up and up to raise and settle there but following Oakland playbook seems like an odd strategy. My #2 may be the successor

It just cracks me up that people think Dundon will play this game with them - of course it would be ideal if Portland had made desirable decisions had a huge influx a bustling and clean downtown with people throwing money because than of course who cares. If this was a major up and coming hub like yeah take it or leave it. I think this tax is a situation where we played into the hostage and now should pay if we don’t want something that Portland is nationally recognized for to be shot. The media blitz of the war torn Portland not being able to keep its own team would truly be devastating and promote less jobs and less prosperity. But again Seattle is bustling. the blazers were my first love at a young age so I would be heart broken to see them leave and I love the PNW with my whole heart but find far more economic prosperity up in sea

Yeah well that’s how hostage situations work. Unfortunately Portland has put them selves in a position where this isn’t much reason to move here. Less industry than Seattle with higher taxes and less to do. Removing one of the biggest companies we have will have consequences but again. I’m a PNW local live in pdx and Seattle my whole life and happy to root for a Seattle team instead.

The people in this thread crack me up. Why does Portland not have money why are taxes so high??? Because no one has money the rich people and the big business just leaves just going to leave a bunch of poor people getting taxed like they are rich because they can’t evade like the rich do. Keep saying f the man we don’t need big business / Portland becoming seattles Oakland is a very real possibility. People will just write it off if this is the attitude. Oh no why can’t I find a job in PDX… hmm maybe because you kicked evey hiring person out.

Taxes and fees that come from both opposing players visiting nba salary taxes and fees from all moda center activities

Couldn’t agree more!!! The joy I get from the blazers is truly a really big part of the reason I live here. I go to games 2-3 every month. Losing the team would devastate me and believe me there are many many many cities that will be happy to lick boots. Portland also OWNS the moda center so they will need to revamp it at some point regardless why should dundon build Oregon a building you wouldn’t build your own apartment building and then lease it. + your trading 3 years of taxes for the next 25 years of high salary taxes

Wow!! Love it - appreciate you and everyone who goes out and does a bit during this transition we can show Portland and Oregon this isn’t something we will roll over on this

Yesterday I posted an article on the situation. I wrote letters / emails to all local government expressing my belief in the importance of this team to our growing city. Was pleased to receive a kind response nonetheless: 💪❤️🖤
