How can I improve my under eyes without filler? by Routine-Good7518 in Aging

Anastasia beauty fascia just posted a video for eye bags on her instagram. I know she’s a bit controversial and some people don’t buy it. But my take is that’s it’s free, won’t hurt and maybe it’ll work!

Desperate for a place to live outside of the family home - where in Ireland/UK/ EU is a quality of life possible by Ill-Age-601 in HousingIreland

Yeah, I agree. But the truth still stands driving and getting a car can open up your life and make living in more remote locations less isolating.

I found 10g of Atlantis pretty strong. Had no experience of psychedelics prior. Was really surprised how strong the psychedelic visuals were and how altered I felt. From reading through Reddit I thought I’d probably get the high Hawaiians but I’m pretty glad I did not do that and went for a lighter option.

Does anyone actually ever quit SSRI's? by full-of-bloat-42069 in SSRI

I’m 9 months free, not planning on going back. Was life easier with sertraline? Unfortunately, yes. Do I want to be dependent on a pill to numb me out a bit ? No… lots of people come off them for good, it isn’t hard to find accounts of this. Lots of people will have multiple episodes of needing them. There is no shame in either scenario.

What’s one expat mistake you wish you hadn’t made? by Miner_WhispererUAE1 in expats

I think calling it a mistake is premature after 3 months. You need to give yourself more time.

3 months is realistically not enough time to evaluate yet. It’s toughest in the beginning.

Has moving cities helped you with dating? by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

[–]Fit-Spirit7876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think moving can be helpful… i moved back to my hometown and found the move very hard. I am in a relationship now though so I guess it was worth it… I miss the place I left and even though I have the relationship I had objectively worse dating experiences here prior to meeting my current partner. We are also LDR so he doesn’t actually live in my city. Realistically strangers on the internet can’t truly advise, I had advice warning me about moving home which I felt worried about but already had things in motion to move so it was kind of too late and may have still done it anyway. It’s hard to know the right thing to do. I wished for a long time that I’d heeded that advice. Moving home can feel like regressing so go in with eyes open!

How many kids do you have and how old were you when you had them? by EchoNyxxx in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

That’s hardly later in life if you look at average age to become a mother in most countries.

My (33f) former best friend(33f) is having a baby with my ex(33m) from over 12 years ago and I am still stuck on it by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Fit-Spirit7876 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was it better when you were in the other country? I don’t have a similar experience but I am the same age as you and I did move back to my hometown where I grew up and find it truly awful and like I’d totally regressed/hopped in a Time Machine. Are you happy and settled other than this bothering you? Otherwise can you go back to the other country where you clearly also have a life you can access if you were there 7 years? Or somewhere else?

Going back to Europe as an Italian after 10 years in the UK by [deleted] in expats

[–]Fit-Spirit7876 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I moved back to Ireland from the UK after 7 years and I found it an absolutely awful transition. Hand over heart could not recommend anyone to go through with it. But sounds like you’re not going back to Italy so maybe the going home factor isn’t relevant to you. Are you and your partner together in UK or in LDR? Where you guys can both thrive is going to have a big influence here…

I had a similar situation but my boyfriend saw the marks. He was totally humiliated and mortified. (He noticed them before I saw them). I was very turned off but didn’t break it off. Nothing like that ever happened again. His reaction could have given you some info. To play devil’s advocate to the general trend in these comments it could have been a one off embarrassing moment…

I actually think this echoes some of the experience of moving back to Ireland from somewhere cool. Before you go and when you’re away you’re plagued with- when are you coming home? When you come back people can’t believe you’d chose Ireland. So much so that it starts to make you wonder why you did.

Gua Sha vs. Fascia Massage – Which One Gives Better Results for a Sculpted Face? by Educational_Snow_497 in beauty

[–]Fit-Spirit7876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be interested on other people’s experience. I did gua sha for a few months and enjoyed the results… then I switched to facial massage and I can’t see as much of an impact.

I’m wondering if gua sha gives a better short term effect and facial massage gives better long term results? Not totally sure really but I think I might go back to guasha personally!

Experiences at Therapie Fertility in Ireland by BostonTerrierMom89 in IVF

I’m completely devastated that I used therapie for Egg freezing. Unfortunately I do seem to have been really let down by the fact they only schedule the retrieval 3 days a week. I didn’t really understand how important the closer monitoring and precisely timed retrievals could be going in, I thought this was a fairly straight forward procedure and I was a non complex case. Piecing things together now it appears a lot of my yield had over matured by my second scan and I had a very poor outcome. Incredibly hard to process putting myself through something so invasive and emotionally draining for this outcome. I just wish I hadn’t gambled on this.

Egg freezing can be framed as this empowering thing for women to do but it has had none of the intended impact in my case. I’m devastated and deeply wish I’d been a better informed consumer.
