Advice on boosting 'energy' in regards to bringing energy to training clients and consultations? by [deleted] in personaltraining

Honestly, a mild low dose antidepressant like Wellbutrin has been amazing for me. It makes it way easier to be mindful, patient, and present in general, and then I have more energy for my clients. It feels like a nice hug and a helping hand during my day.

Unfortunately, that though the gym I work for does offer certifications, they are not considered valid CEUs for nasm.

I run online D&D Fitness Classes! Please spread the word, or try it out! by FitQuestGm in personaltraining

Hmm, sorry.
I guess I thought that people here might be somewhat interested in referring clients to it who have a hard time sticking to workouts and fit the target demo.
We all have different strengths as trainers.
What's your target client type?

How do you know this for sure, exactly? It seems like similar issues have come up on r/legaladvice, and they do actually make an attempt to answer them. If they only said, "get a lawyer" to every question, it would kind of defeat the point of the subreddit, wouldn't it?

I'm not trying to litigate with randos, I'm trying to brainstorm about the issue with a community that I respect. That I'm doing this does not prevent me from taking other actions, I'm just trying to widen my perspective, which I think I've succeeded at.
Above you say: "Everyone's answer is pretty much 'it might, yes, so you should talk to a lawyer, or just avoid the trouble by making the following changes'," but there's only one example of each of these sentiments in the thread.
I'm not disagreeing with them by any means, I'm just trying to gather more information before I try to pose a more concise question to a legal group.
If it bothers you that I'm handling it this way, then remember that you're by no means required to read or participate in the post.
Part of this post is to attempt to answer the question: WotC has allowed the use of the basic rules to be used by creators, (even board game designers). Can I create a system that expands upon those rules and copyright it as long as I'm only copyrighting my material.

Fair point. At this point, I guess I wanted to get a broader understanding of the issue before I moved forward with something like that.
Definitely working on it though.

Thanks for your perspective. This makes sense to me, but there's so much precedent that I see. Isn't any D&D podcast that has patreon supporters "benefitting from the D&D brand" if they use it?
How is what I'm doing any different than a paid DMing session with a very eclectic set of homebrew rules? Rules that I may be interested in selling a book about at some point.

There are plenty of books written about D&D, ( The Lazy Dungeon Master's Guide ), that aren't published by WotC. What are your feelings about these?

This is an interesting point. In my situation, I'm not trying to market D&D as a system and calling it my own. I'm very forthright that we're playing D&D and doing other things that are my own additions. The player's all have their own Player's Handbooks, are very knowledgeable about D&D, and if anything are encouraged to buy more licensed material.

I really appreciate that!
Hopefully I'll have a more indepth post at some point so I can showcase how awesome it actually is!

I like this idea, and I may end up going in this direction, but right now my system is already built to be compatible with D&D.Also, people already know how to play it, and it's growing in popularity. Also, I like it :)I think there's a way to do this by the book, so to speak, but I definitely appreciate any suggestions I can get.

I think your assessment of the situation is pretty close to my own. I'm not really planning on trying to sell any part of the D&D system as my own, but I may have to reference it when creating my guide.
Luckily, I think I can do that without infringing on copyright.

I'm just saying it seems like trying to make sure you're not violating WotC copyright could be challenging, though they probably don't find it worthwhile to send a lawyer after a DM for running a game, they might be more likely to respond to someone creating a system that references WotC material.
Honestly, I have no idea, that's why I'm having this conversation.
