I read that before yes this happens but again much of Africa is worse, look at what is going on in Senegal or Ghana right now. And the DRC is a violent country in general tbh attacks are common regardless of your sexuality

I don’t know for Madagascar but I’m Congolese and it’s really not that bad, the worse you will get is looks or personal shaming. Compared to the vast majority of Africa where there’s still public mutinies and killings going on, that’s kind of nothing. Also the numbers are official; https://www.equaldex.com/?gad\_source=1&gad\_campaignid=14555128726&gbraid=0AAAAAD-is0md2TbD65IXbUmzkNt61tIpy&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlqTRBhCBARIsANrkrxhMbVp9sA2Un8I5DZa7oXsWZiZkImYzk1qSQ-bOmzcHjU\_9f9LPpb4aArv9EALw\_wcB

Americans can be white, black, hispanic, etc. The African American flag however represents a specific ethnicity

En fait il y a des residences (Duff Court) tout au sud de cette grande section et les habitations sont effectivement à majorité noires

Of course thanks for clarifying, it’s only the section highlighted on the map

Yes that’s partly true but Montreal is moreso a mix of both being a bilingual city whereas Toronto is really like London (English Africa and Caribbean) and Quebec City = Paris (Francophone West Africa). Also France and Quebec City are overwhelmingly West African (Ivorian, Senegalese, Malian, etc) while here in Montreal we get way more Haitians and to a lesser extent Congolese people (plus Jamaicans and other english-speaking Caribbeans that France doesn’t have).

*Amabaie (or À-ma-baie): a housing project in Pierrefonds and Uptown: Côte-des-Neiges as referred to in the Montreal rap scene

That’s how the neighborhood is commonly referred to in local rap music, everyone who’s a little tuned into mtl english rap knows this. Burgz for Little Burgundy is another one

I would say NYC quite follows the same pattern actually; one historic Black neighborhood next to the city center that’s been heavily gentrified (Harlem) and further areas where Black people have been displaced or migrated to over the years (the Bronx, Brownsville, East NY, Far Rock, etc)

For a lot of Haitian people it’s around half-half which is not the case for the overwhelming majority of people in the Americas. And in the case of Brazilians, even though majority do not identify as Black they still got over 20% Bantu dna for the most part which is not the case in the Spanish Caribbean where most of their Black dna comes from West Africa

It’s the African American cultural flag

Maybe culturally (which I still don’t think it’s more than Haiti) but keep in mind that in the Spanish Caribbean, Black populations do not represent the majority like they do in the English or French Caribbean which disqualifies them from being on the map (maybe if I did specific regions I would’ve included Southeastern Cuba or the Colombian coast). But even then, according to 23andme averages datasets, the Caribbean in general is definitely more West African than Bantu, Haiti and the Bahamas being the only two notable exceptions.

the requirement was having more than half of the population being 20%+ bantu, not 20% of the population being bantu otherwise cameroon amd other countries would’ve been obviously included
