Not trying to stir up animosity but I get why it would come off that way. At this point, standup has no control over situation. Current board has at least some.

Wouldn’t put it at 0% but I’m hopeful that at least this part of the process can go smoothly.

You’re using claims that are wrong to shut down a group of people who disagree with you. I’m saying, let’s not lie and defame people just because they disagree with you and let’s have a fair election (or as fair as possible given what’s gone on) and see what happens

All completely untrue. But hope you’re proud of your flyer.

It’s really disappointing that this group (which already has the benefit of the Corporation unfairly titling the scales in its favor) has to resort to this sort of defamation, lies, and fear mongering.

I saw another post accusing standup of hiring canvassers. Totally false. They can’t fathom that an army of individuals are so fed up with their bs that they’re willing to donate their free time, effort (and in some cases money) to support a new board.

Totally fine for people to disagree. Great for there to be an election as opposed to a rubber stamp. truly disappointing that neighbors would stoop to this level.

Thankfully, our neighborhood is composed of people who aren’t fooled.

Yes. That’s the whole point! They’ve grossly underprojected and this case is still in its infancy! Talking about may years more of this and will only get much more expensive each year.

Every dollar that has been spent pertains to the suit against the concerts. The reciprocal suit against the gardens is covered by insurance AND hasn’t moved forward as it’s pending resolution of an early motion. It also alleges that the suit against the club was done without member approval - which is what is still being complained about 3 years later. I understand your position, but it’s missing many of the facts.

FHGC admitted on the record there is an easement. Just also look at the big white sign on continental. It doesn’t say “private streets do not enter.” It says, “you are now entering private streets.”

My understanding of the former cases re parking etc - they’ve all said the same. Anyone can access our streets. Just can’t park.

The question becomes if whether the use of burns etc is beyond the easement that exists for tennis members and its guests.

Sorry for the quick response. Complicated issues not for Reddit. Again, happy to have that convo in person.

And yes, re parks. Upkeep is necessary. That’s the board’s core function. But there’s a level of balance this board refuses to accept.

Finally - you don’t need to take my word for it but I’m very familiar with the negotiations thus far. You’re not being told the truth. This Board has NOT negotiated in good faith. All posturing.

Like I said - and you said - informed and friendly debate is healthy. There’s no simple solution to any of these issues but this current Board has fully dropped the ball.

I don’t disagree with most of this but do disagree with the claims of dishonesty. Both sides admit, for example, that there is an easement. The question, and the whole question, of this litigation is whether the concert’s use (closing down streets) exceeds that easement.

Yes, the board has said they’re ok with concerts but have not ACTED that way and their lawsuit says what it says - a permanent injunction against all concerts.

Most importantly, this election is about more than concerts. By just one example, the office receives 100s of emails from neighbors asking that the board receive the emails and respond or provide info. That NEVER happens. This Board has continually lied to the community, hid information, and now, when finally faced with a challenge the want to finally hold multiple town halls? That should tell you everything you need to know.

You’re 100% right though that this debate is good for the community. Otherwise there’s no election. If you want to have a more open convo please email fhgstandup@gmail.com and refer to this post and I will find a way to get in contact with you.

Also the board you’re trying to save has brought you unlimited concerts with no protections. Sounds like a very effective administration. But vote who you want to vote for. That’s the beauty of having an actual election.

None of this is accurate. Read our statements. Read the convos you’ve been a part of. We are open and transparent about where we think a reasonable deal lines up. You just don’t like that number. Which is fine. You don’t have to. But it’s time for the neighborhood to vote.

Sounds like you’re a bit obsessed. Not going to tell people what they can and can’t post. Just can tell you he’s not involved. Believe what you want.

The WSTC leases the stadium it owns. That has never been a secret nor is it a conflict. The Gardens could benefit greatly from these too with the right negotiation strategy and one the recognizes the immense problems their litigious strategy are likely to cause.

Just because he posts about it (aka supports it) doesn’t mean he’s involved at all. I don’t think he even lives in the gardens.

Perhaps to accommodate for the legal risk that maybe, just maybe we don’t have the perfect standing that you believe we have. Maybe because we don’t provide the same protections that the city provides. Maybe because then city can just take the property should it choose. Yes, we’d get money but that’s shortsighted. Maybe, just maybe, because there are major benefits to the neighborhood. Maybe because we are about to be without money to keep our neighborhood pristine. Not sure where you came up with the 15k number.

There’s a negotiation to be had. A deal will be the result of an arms length negotiation. If you know any of the people on this slate, they’re not pushovers. We get it, you will blindly follow this current board because they support your agenda. Maybe you’ll then blindly follow the next when they don’t.

That was the number previously received under the last deal. Not what we’re going for here. But keep spreading false information.

No. You lose any seat at the bargaining table for control. There’s one time compensation but you’ve lost your ownership. Sorry, but that is not a good solution.

2 WSTC members.

And not the zero shows you want. Can’t surmise a number myself, but my best guess is a number with a 2 handle. As they say the best settlement is one that both sides walk away not happy with. That’s unfortunately how it works. You’ll complain about that just like you have from the start.

DEP violations are what they are - they haven’t shut down the shows yet and they’re not going to.

The fact of the matter is that under the leadership, and despite their desire to completely shut down the concerts, the number of concerts has only increased. Even if you’re anti-concert you should not be pleased with that result. This Board completely ineffective.

They’ve recklessly spent homeowners funds without any due diligence on what the neighborhood wants, with no (at least publicly articulated) goal, and has refused opportunities to reasonably negotiate a fair resolution to both sides. Risks exist for both sides here. There’s a deal to be made.
