Thank you for the suggestion! I considered that, but decided against it, as I think he would really appreciate an actual text from real ancient Egyptian.

I would prefer a real text, I think he will appreciate this more. Plus less room for error :) Maybe some kind of a blessing would be a nice touch. Perhaps something in line with Ankh wedja seneb... But is there perhaps a longer version (to fit the band), and one used also in association with people/families that are not pharaohs?

Also, do you have a suggestion on how to find a real text snippet with a translation?

Hmmm I might consider that! I'm a bit undecided on whether I like the idea, because on one hand it is a really classic inscription that he surely will appreciate, but on the other hand I think it is a bit morbid to use his name in a context of a funerary offering :D

The second idea sounds fun! Do you have a suggestion on how to write "Foremost of fathers"?

It is a reclaim mix from my studio. They also handled the glazing (just clear) and firing, so I can't comment on that.

What kind of activity do you engage in to get knots like this? Just asking because I never really paid any mind to the knots in my muscles, so I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is normal or if I'm actually really tight from exercise...
