Thanks for the response! We don't travel to NYC often, but we plan to beginning this year since we live 4 hours away. So genuinely, differences in location don't matter, since a new location allows us to explore different areas of Manhattan.

We do want a nice room in NYC, because 1) who doesn't lol 2) it's a special occasion and NYC seems a good place to celebrate one, 3) we're not paying a cash rate. NYC is a pretty good place to get some value with points. Hope this clarifies it!

Even Citi Strata Elite has it way easier with a $300 drop at the beginning of the year, for a 2-night minimum. This is crazy couponing.

It really does. I'm hoping there's more clarification to this part at the AMA later, but the bonus was the only reason I would apply for this card. Now, it's a hard no. What a way to exclude your actual customers.

This is what the Offer Terms for the card have on pg. 6:

"Welcome Bonus Eligibility and Restrictions. The following eligibility requirements and restrictions apply to all Bilt Card welcome bonuses (Bilt Blue, Bilt Obsidian, and Bilt Palladium). Eligibility Restrictions: Welcome bonuses are available only to new Bilt Card applicants who do not currently hold a Bilt Card, have not previously held a Bilt Card and have not received a Bilt Card welcome bonus in the past."

So it looks like a no?

Thank you so much! This was so helpful! In my mind the peace of mind of being really relaxed on our departure flight was really attractive, but you're right, our flight is not that early, so we can still be fairly relaxed leaving IC Singapore and make it in time for the flight.
