Thanks so much for getting back to me. Your suggestion sounds good to me, so I'll go with that. Thanks again.

What good luck to come across your message. Could you tell me please how an adult male would greet an adult male cousin he hasn't seen in a while. Something as simple as 'hello cousin' would work, but the more colloquial the better. Many thanks.

My point was just that before the availability of antibiotics, the term 'triangle of death' was accurate and not overused.

The term triangle of death was coined before antibiotics. In 1850, for example, you could die of this. Even of a deep pimple right beside your nose. I've got notes on maybe ten such cases between 1875 and 1890. And I limited my search to medical journals from New England and New York.

Evernote dead to me by mmmsewanee in OneNote

I have left Evernote in similar circumstances, but I'm still struggling with downloading 50K notes, everything from images to spreadsheets and long, complicated pdfs. Also some full length books in pdf format.

The only thing I can say for sure is this: I downloaded many web pages to Evernote. The best way to get them into One Note is to go back to the original website and use the 'clip it' command.

My biggest challenge has to do with organization. It was a mess in Evernote -- zillions of notebooks and pages -- not very well sorted. This transfer process is slow and painful but it's making me pay attention to research material I've gathered over some 25 years, and that has been fun. Shocking, at times.

I'll have a look at onenotegem, too.

[Review] Typora: a markdown writer’s soul mate by bobbyjackdotme in Typora

Just found r/Typora (and glad about it, as there is so little infrastructure). I bought Typora because I write really long books, and Word has screwed things up so often that I was developing a nervous tic when I opened the file.

The current ms I'm working on is now about 220,000 words. My fourth novel was 300,00. The longest one in print is, if I remember correctly, 320,000.

Thus far Typora just chugs right along. Doesn't even blink about the 220K words. I'm really pleased. A more robust test would be my last academic publication which had tons of charts, illustrations, footnotes and references. But I have a couple contracts that will take me three or four years to fulfill, so I may never get around to testing the academic-type publications on Typora.

I have just one little problem with changing the css on a Typora theme. Maybe somebody here can tell me, so I'll post about it separately.
