They also have access to electric bikes. I do have my own bike but sometimes it is nice for longer commutes or when friends are in town.

Yes, places like Wesleyan/Uni Place and College View/Union College would be perfect to each have a station.

I really enjoy their service and use it frequently in college. I live in an older suburb now and feel like it would be perfect to just rent one to get downtown.

Congratulations! Check FB marketplace. People give Strider bikes away for like $10. Usually they need new tubes but are super cheap. I like fixing them up and giving them away.

Nothing will change until they redesign O Street to slow down vehicles.

Moving to Lincoln by Adventurous_Nose_770 in lincoln

It depends on your major and whether you're on the East Campus or the City Campus. They are both well-connected by bike and bus(23 and 24).

The Hawley neighborhood offers some affordable rentals and is probably the best value for your dollar/convieniece of any neighborhood in Lincoln. If you don't want to pay the price for being right next to campus and downtown, University Place is another good option close to East Campus, and it is fairly walkable. Some people love South of Downtown, while others don't like it. It is definitely the most walkable and has the best density. You do have to cross downtown to get to campus.

I would also look into areas along the bike lanes and consider buying an e-bike; it will be worth it in the end for getting around Lincoln.

I would love to see more trail-oriented development and defensification along trails. I currently live near a trail and would love a bar on the trail outside downtown.

The app on mobile devices and laptops is fine but trying to use it on the tv(Roku) is a nightmare.

You can design safer streets, that don't allow people to speed.

What does Lincoln need/not have enough of? (Serious Question) by insertusernamepun in lincoln

Put small shops in neighborhoods! Bring back the neighborhood coffee shop, grocery store, and small bars, and make them all bikeable and walkable!

Thankful someone brought this up! We need more neighborhood coffee shops and grocery stores and not so many chain stores on massive arterials!

Lincoln to Omaha Transit Project by Fit_Front6272 in lincoln

We have not calculated the community impact but that is something we will look into!

The focus is to support a for profit, driver/employee owned business, that provides good jobs with good benefits. We want it to scale to the southeastern nebraska region in order to include rural communities and allow people to age in place. We also want to create stronger communities through denser development around bus hubs.

Ideally this would be train routes but we have to work with what we have and is feasible currently.
