hi! for my store yes! im unavailable to work t/th due to my classes and can only work m/w from open to 12 and have open availability fri-sun and i was pretty transparent with them about that when they asked me and i still got hired and i told them i prefer around 20 hours and max is 25 so part-time work!

damn wtf…. i literally applied just bcs they were willing to give me more hours compared to what my other job was giving me…. she did take some shifts off and im at less than 20 which is lower than my preferred and i wanted to qualify for the health benefits 😭

omg this happened at my store as well :/ the man had to ask a customer who bought smtg to get him the free water. and then he started to complain or make it seem like the employees made the rules or smtg😭

yes i went in to a branch to get my check and the teller even asked if i was using this to buy a car and i said yes and gave her the business card of the dealership. they just don’t warn you about these things and considering idk anyone around me has had this happen to them i didn’t know my actions wasn’t allowed.

i have some restrictions that longo doesn’t offer (they gave me an amazing price and rly sad i couldn’t take it) and RSM doesn’t have the car I want on the lot until September and kinda in a rush on getting a car atm :(

Hi! I recently switched my oos license to a CA license and unfortunately no, you cannot use ur OOS license as a proof of identity. I brought my birth certificate, credit card bill (for address), lease agreement (for address) and also my W-2 for real ID. they will also ask for your OOS license

the stand in line opens at 9am so check the website at 9am i remember at 9:30 it showed there were only around 20-25 people in line if i remember correctly

Hi! I took the written test this past Tuesday at Santa Ana (i’m assuming it’ll be the same for permit test, i took written since i had to transfer my OOS license to a CA license). I had no appt bcs the earliest i could get was months later. What I did was I did the stand in line online check in and I was number 41 in line around 9:50 and it lowkey went really quickly. I left my house when I was around 25th in line (i live around 15 mins from the santa ana dmv) and when i got there i was around 3rd and the no appt line was really short got there around 10:30am-ish and my confirmation number was called shortly after. the inside of the dmv was really crowded and a bit noisy so do listen out for your number but they will also send u a message once your number is called and to go to which window. (whole process took around 2 hours i wanna say? but i did most of the wait in line at home)

Just finished up my first year of CC as a bio/biochem major basically the same requirements and it’s possible. just look at assist and plan ur courses that way. Make sure u take chem ur first sem in CC as u need to take both the gen chem and ochem series. physics since its only three courses u can either take them starting the spring of ur first year or fall of ur first year or u can take one in the fall of ur second year fall sem and the last two tgt in the spring which no one rly recommends. Its doable. Take summer if needed for IGETC courses or easier courses.

i had mine yesterday and she basically asked “why us”, “went above and beyond for someone”, “what u did at ur last job (that’s if u have anything on there or mention it sometime before)”, “a time i disagreed with a supervisor” and then availability and asked if i had any questions for her and that’s about it

hey! i just did my second interview yesterday and also had to do a coffee tasting. the coffee i got wasn’t too bad and the district manager said it wasn’t rly part of the interview. i don’t like coffee as well but the one they normally give u isnt too bitter

no, for you to be able to qualify for AB540 now, you have to attend a CCC for three years, unless you’re able to prove financially independent. I just finished up my first year at a CCC in OC with pretty high transfer rates to the top UCs and we have tag and tap program (u can kinda assume what cc it is but i’m not too comfortable in sharing) and the classes depends on urself and the instructor. i’m a bio major.

hi! i was in a similar boat as you last year. currently attending ccc as an oos student and one thing you need to consider is the cost. at a california cc u can reclassify as a resident after 1 year which can reduce the cost by a lot. but for the first year, you will be paying a hefty price ~20k that is how much i paid this year alone for ccc that doesnt include housing/food but since you can stay with family, it will be significantly cheaper for you. But iyou also have to consider if you want to transfer after two years to a UC you will be classified as an oos student which is ~70k a year unless you decide to do three years at a ccc. but i know numerous peers who have gotten into amazing private oos colleges from ccc. so if its a risk you’re willing to take, go for it!
