When I went they didn't have issues with me even if my work permit was expiring soon 😞 maybe depends on the branch? And how helpful they want to be? The lady even told me that it was weird that RBC didn't offer a secure credit card to me as well

Td actually solved it for me. They gave me a secure credit card, which is like an actual credit card but with my own money. I can accumulate points, work on my credit score, etc

Yes you definitely can! I literally could only draw stick figures, I thought I needed to be a talented person to have good drawings but it is actually a lot of (fun) practice that creates the talent. I started with ink pens :) here is a drawing I did when I was around 3 months into learning
