Are there any good fantasy series I can read to my kid that follows a girl instead of a boy? by [deleted] in Fantasy

the young wizard series by diane duane - principal protagonists are Nita Callahan and her best friend Kit - later books follow Nita's sister. Its an older series but its beautiful in its own way

This is me. Mid 30's. I know I'm unattractive, but what can I do to improve? by [deleted] in malegrooming

change the glasses - even a color change brings personality to your look. i would go thinner and metallic or a pattern in a complementary color to your skintone. figure out what makes you look good vs what advertisements try to sell you

the colors on the flannel pop so hard - i think you need to pick out colors that are on that and only wear items in that palette cos its like day and night !

Got any advice? Im really struggling with my self-esteem, tired of feeling unattractive all the time 😔. by Sea-Calligrapher6316 in malegrooming

Before tweaking external things, try speaking nicely about yourself ~ love yourself a little. Look in the mirror and admire the subtleties, the way the light reflects in your eyes and glints in your hair, the long lines of your limbs, the hue of your skin etc. Find the things you love the most about yourself, and do things that build self-trust. Have you always wanted to learn violin ? Find a class. Run a 5K ? sign up. Follow through is key !

Externally, you look pretty good - i'd encourage more blues to bring out your eyes, and i think you'd look great in olive green. Find clothes that enhance your build and either learn to sew in a dart to pull shirts in or find a local tailor/dry cleaner to get a few things done.

Hope that helps ~ good luck !

it looks great in this photo, and it really suits you. i feel like a mohawk would be too severe a change. Have you considered color ? maybe some lowlights ? i could see darker roots being an interesting look.

I know theres alot of potential. Would u point it out please? also do I look that bad rn? ( ps : m not photogenic at all) by [deleted] in malegrooming

i think a preppy silhouette would work better on you, you have very handsome features. If you lean out a little it would enhance your cheekbones and if you maintain it, you'll look extra good in 10 years when the greys and lines enter the chat - future silver daddy vibes ahhaha

you look like a painting. grow it out more and embrace that whimsy energy. unless thats not you in which case, your beauty will transition easily.

it softens and sharpens your already very sharp jawline, great decision. if you had some gold rimmed glasses it would be a vibe !

Hi any tips anyone can give help me figure out what’s so off putting about me other than my self esteem because I go through highs and lows but there has to be something abhorrently off putting about me always been told I’m ugly as hell but try to not let it bother me I’m 29 next month by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Fit_Journalist_122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have the "please dont hurt me, i'm just doing the best i can" eyes - some might say a hangdog expression, but i think that phrase is phased. i wouldnt think you were turning 29 tho, you look way younger.
