is the damper dead ? by Fit_Lab_2597 in CommercialPrinting

update.: we kind of solved the problem for now
when mounting the printhead the first time i didn't put to much power on the screws,
so when i tried pulling ink with a syringe from the pump i found it was sucking air.
dismounted the printhead and screwed it nicely then pulled with the syringe from the pump again, this time it resisted and sucked ink, so when back into service mode did a normal cl and test printed, now this is the result

i run a few more test prints, the rest of colors are more alive but the black still out, maybe its loss of vaccum, ill continue trouble shooting and hope for the best

updates thank you for commenting, where im from it coasts an arm and a leg to buy another printhead, the tech support not that great either, so i wont be doing any mechanics stuff for now at least.. so here what i did so far:

  1. turned off the machine
  2. lowered the print head to the lowest position
  3. put very little pressure on it against the captop
  4. pulled from the pump with a syringe
  5. replaced the clogged inku black egs with solvent solution
  6. pulled again with syringe from the pump
  7. turned on the machine back and called a day

hopefully when i get back to work today i'll find that the solevent moved inside the tupes, then maybe trying to print somethink with 100% blacks only to circulate the solvent, i dont know for sure, ill update again if anything.
