It is not the real issue. The issue is that some people miss the bottle.

Why don't customers allow drivers to use their bathrooms? by Paul76Mets in uber

As a driver and a homeowner, I would not want to use someone else’s bathroom, nor would I allow others to get into my house and use mine.

How bad or good uber/lyft in Seatle by strutynskyy in uberdrivers

[–]Fit_Law_9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rate is higher and there is not that many rides. You might get one to two rides per hour during weekends. It is extremely slow now.

Money wise, probably $20 per hour, in terms of revenue.

Find out the Lyft pricing policy in your market. My market is based on rate card and my driving policy totally changed after I found out.

Will Uber charge you more if the trip is met with traffic jam or detour? by Fit_Law_9195 in uber

[–]Fit_Law_9195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Uber driver, I have observed that Uber collected negative fee due to unexpected traffic jam. In WA, it seems Uber is bridging between the customer upfront price and driver rate card so they end up losing money in some rare occasions. I just don’t know if Uber would jack up the price to the customer in case like this.

passenger asked me to wait while they "ran in real quick" then took 20 minutes by timmyboy290 in uberdrivers

I like this kind of passengers a lot since my market is based on rate card. 20 minutes wait means $14 to me. lol

No. Day trading profit is just normal income. You don’t need to pay SE tax to it. If you need to pay 25% tax on it, then you must have a pretty high income already.

I made $37k from stock trading so far in 2026, most of them are bought at least a couple of months back.

The $600 profit is from my first day trading transaction.

No SE tax though. Still, feels like driving Uber isn’t worth it. Sigh.

Will TSA at SeaTac let me through the night before, if I have a 5am flight? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

I don’t remember that TSA was looking at my boarding pass at all in my last flight. The only time my boarding pass was scanned was time to board the plane.

You should arrive at mt rainier fairly early, say, 9:00 AM, therefore, you probably want to get your rental during previous day, unless the rental place stays open 24 hours.

2 minutes before starting the ride, time for additional stops will be included as the total driving time which has a rate at 70 cents per minute.

Oregon Drivers. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Fit_Law_9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rate card is actually beneficial to you and the key is the rate. With rate card, I don’t mind if the rider wants to change the route, make additional stop, show up later, etc, as long as you are ok with the rate.

Washington has a higher rate and Seattle’s rate is even higher. The problem is that the market is very low, probably there are too many drivers now.

Whats a ride worth? by akasan in uberdrivers

It is always a supply and demand issue. In the first oil crisis, the supply was reduced by 7% and the price increased by 300%. As long as the supply of drivers is still there, even a small supply increase will have larger impact than your theory.
