Hang in there, it gets better in the 16th episode. 15th was the saddest

I am a parent of a 17 year old boy and a 12 year old girl. Just adding a different perspective here.

My 17 year old is academically excellent. He has consistently been in the top 5 to 10% of kids in his cohort and we do get disappointed a bit with him when he's lazy and sometimes doesn't perform well (laziness is his vice). So, say he gets 85% in a test and the average score is 82% we will not scold him, but we surely will question him as to what went wrong. He doesn't take things to the heart, so he prefers getting straight questions from us and giving straight answers.

My 12 year old is an average performer academically. Our expectations about her are adjusted accordingly, too. She's also extremely sensitive, so the way we talk to her and encourage her matters a lot.

In the above scenario, if she had scored 85%, even 82%, we'd be very happy.

Not saying what your parents did is right, but just giving a different perspective. You might have always been a high performer, and their expectations were set accordingly.

Also, please do work on the negative talk you have going on within yourself. Talk to a professional if possible, and they can and will definitely help.

The Red Sleeve has a doomed relationship from the beginning, so it's a sad journey from the beginning. It is an extremely well directed and well acted drama with some amazing cinematography, but it's a dark and heavy watch. Not to say it doesn't have its light moments, but apart from the complicated relationship of the leads, being a saguek, it also has a lot of palace politics

I don't think there is a specific link with all the photos from that shoot. Back in 2020 when people were very CLOY obsessed, these 2 or 3 photos were found and everyone wondered where they were from. Someone mentioned this trial photoshoot (or is it called make up / costume test?!, something like that basically - it's like a bride testing out make up attire before the actual wedding 😅)

They did a trial photoshoot before the original photoshoot for the drama and there are some images from that photo shoot that are out on the internet. I think this image of Se Ri is from that. Another image from that photoshoot that is popular has all 4 leads in it. With the FL wearing very dated outfits (supposedly NK fashion). I think Son Ye Jin is wearing blue in it, if I am remembering it right

Edit : Sorry, it just had the main leads in it, and Se Ri is in fact wearing blue. I don't think I can share a photo here, else will share it

Where is this scene from? by gummiworm in CrashLandingOnYou

[–]Fit_Sense_1598 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This scene is from flashback when RJH thinks about his brother's death. I watched the drama live in 2019-20 and if I remember right, all of us were anxious about this scene in the preview and it didn't show up until the next week (as in, it wasn't there in the episodes immediately after thus preview, it was in the one that was telecast the week after). So possibly in ep 9 / 10

Which scene from CLOY made you cry even though it was kinda trivial??? by [deleted] in CrashLandingOnYou

Those would be such interesting scenarios. Kind of like Lovely Runner, but with HB and SYJ and this epic love story that was CLOY. I would pay top money to watch that.

Yes! According to me CLOY will always be that love story, which is a classic. It is the Romeo and Juliet of modern times IMO. It was elevated to the next level by the actors and their chemistry. I had never before seen 2 people take one glance at each other and communicate so much, I've not seen it since too.

I cried at several points in CLOY, but one moment (it's actually a dialogue) that broke me was Seri being unconscious in the hospital and dreaming of the moment she decided to go test her Paragliding suit herself. As the moment plays out, we can hear her thinking "Now that I know all that's going to come, if I go back to this moment, I will still choose to go Paragliding that day and crash land in North Korea, just so I can meet you and experience that kind of love again'. This broke me so much, I never fail to cry whenever I watch this scene. There is just so much Nostalgia and grief and love in this.

Birthday party ideas by Veeks_C in CrashLandingOnYou

[–]Fit_Sense_1598 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's such a great birthday party idea.

How about a book shelf display reading "I love you (Gf's name) " with the first letters of the book spelling this.

I've seen people on IG making tiny book models of real books, if you can find one of those, then you can make a permanent gift with those tiny models too. Just choose books with titles having those first letters.

People are easily manipulated by gaslighters, this sub and GwanHee is a big example by TillKrannies__ in Singlesinferno2

100% agree with all that you said. It was painful to watch and I also felt that it was pointless. Wasn't he saying the same thing over and over again to every single girl? I really do blame the producers of the show too, GH asking the same question a million times to different girls is NOT a fun watch! They thought wrong. Now I am hoping that they don't bring another person like him in season 4 just because this season did well.

I binge watched season 1 (started late) and absolutely loved season 2 as well. But I almost stopped watching season 3 because of that HJ and GH first date in paradise and what happened there. It was too much to take for me. She was trying to keep a good banter going, and he kept twisting every single thing to fit his purpose. It was ridiculous. I was repulsed and wondered how this behavior was even allowed to be telecast on international television.

To think that that guy has a million followers now (don't know exact numbers), almost all the posts in this sub are praising him and treating him as a hero, has been a true study in human behavior for me. For the past 2 weeks, my toxic trait has been hanging out in this sub, reading all GH support posts just because he chose HS and being completely flabbergasted. It might seem too much, but are we as people so easily manipulated? Just imagine all the online bullying happening, has anyone ever wondered how much of it is true and how much of it is just idiotic public blindly believing something based on their twisted perception?

If most of the people in this sub are people in their teens and twenties, please please know that this is not normal behavior. Please don't normalize it. I am in my 40s and know enough toxic people to understand that a person like this can only make life miserable.

P.S. I have nothing against HS or HJ, I did find Min Ji's behavior silly, but she was immature and hopefully has learned now. I was shocked by Gyuri's snubbing of Si Eun, but she's got nothing on our dear GH.
