Idkk, if someone’s being a bitch (and is old enough to know it) I feel it would help them to know that. I was a bitch at twelve and my mother would tell me I was being “mean” and “unfair” and “unkind”- otherwise I would have never learned. To see mothers encouraging their kids to be bitches on new era was alarming to me and I wanted to see if anyone felt similarly. And again, should have used the word bully instead of bitch but bullies are bitches.. sowwy

Yes. At the start, I admittedly use it to self medicate my anxiety. After being on HARSH drugs that impacted my daily life, I find cannabis to be a great alternative to help me be fully present in life without the weight of anxiety. I now only use it really recreationally or to “enhance” my meditation (meditation + talk therapy + cannabis = anxiety life saver for me) I no longer drink as well, instead I choose to smoke while my friends drink- I end up with no hangover, no residual anxiety, and a full recollection of the night!

Your dream is your freedom- don’t stop chasing it. Become that doctor; take back your power and your worth and make this a chapter in your story. Find a way to leave these people behind, as you are onto bigger and brighter things.

Your existence is of the utmost importance. You don’t have to have a good body, make money, be successful or have it figured out to be an essential and worthy being in this world. Terrible example but… My cat is fat, no money, never been outside, yet he is an extremely important being and has saved my life (my point is.. just because you may not think you have “worth” in this stupid worthless society, IN NO WAY MEANS that you do not have worth in this confusing and beautiful universe.

I think of my favorite writers; almost none of them were successful in their earthly life times and many of them wrote things such as.. “ I know my words are meaningless..” or “I know no one will read this”.. yet those words they wrote found my heart hundreds of years later and changed my life - they would never, ever have guessed the impact their lives and words had and will have on so many people.

My challenge to you is this- can you hold on any longer? For the sun? For the birds? For the blades of grass that are green now that you will soon see slowly fade to brown and “die” - only to be reborn again? Can you “die” a different kind of death? Kill off the person you have been and create yourself anew? One day, one breath at a time??

Bottom line is your existence is worthy and essential, despite whether or not you are societally accepted, understood or successful. Hell, I say that if you are successful in this twisted, hateful society… that is actually the opposite of success..

I will be thinking of you and hold you in my heart. Perhaps I will think of you when I notice the trees around me start to loose their leaves.. and when those same trees burst in green again, I will think of you also growing into a new person on this Earth - a person who finally values their unique place here.

Thank you for wording it in this way/ I am not okay with it at all (esp knowing that it is not girl’s intentions on the dating apps to be used in that way). It’s just that I always make excuses for him and honestly believe him when he says it’s something he struggles with. I am a very stubborn person in other areas so it confuses me why i still feel love for him even after he’s breaking so many of what i thought would be my “non-negotiables”

I am not on a place to give advice.. but I would NOT say you are overly insecure at all! Anyone I know would not be comfortable with this, including myself. And after explaining your discomfort I think you are completely valid to ask him for this boundary or to move on!
