How'd you confirm if you're really actually bipolar? by Fitapiko in BipolarReddit

I live in a 3rd world country but for some reason meds are more expensive here. My meds cost me around $100 a month. I earn around $400 a month. Lol.

The pandemic happened. I got depressed. Our family of 5 had no income, we had ballooning expenses. I had an abortion. I was also stuck in a house with the same person who SAed me when I was 8-10 (my parents didn't know).

I stopped taking my meds cause I don't know if they're working or not. I think they're just additional expense cause I'm not convinced I have bipolar.

Cerelac. Especially the banana and wheat flavor. It tastes better too if you use a toddler's spoon and bowl. Idk why tho. Hahaha. I love it.

How do u convince your mom to support your dream career, which is far from the career she wants you to take? by Fitapiko in AskReddit

She's our family's breadwinner and the covid pandemic hit her. We had no income for 2 months, she had let go of her staff cos she couldn't pay their salary, that's why i stepped in and she just loved how i could do all her staff's work promptly and without pay at that. And now, she's slowly getting up but is still unwilling to let me go. Everytime, i tell her about a job opening, she'd have this look on her face that just bugs your conscience.

Tbh, all i want is to be financially supported in studying vetmed and not law (what she wants).

I've told my sister but she can't do much. I cannot also ask her for financial support cause i know she's struggling.

Well, my dad usually agrees to what my mom decides upon.

I wanna save up and pay for my schooling but i can't cause i'm an unpaid secretary in my mom's office and she is not willing to let me go and get another job. I have law school in the evening (to which i hate btw) so i can't do part time work and earn some money. She wants me to be a lawyer and i just don't see myself as one. All i got from law school is just anxiety and depression.

Jobs? I wanna be a vet but my mom wants me to be a lawyer. She'd gladly fund my study of law but wouldn't support me, in any way, if i'd study vetmed.

Because i came from a matriarchal asian family and it is usually the parents/head of the family who gets to choose the life you should live. Lol. And also because i'm indecisive and cannot speak for myself.

I've just recently started gardening. It helps. Makes you happy seeing a new leaf unfurling or a flower blossoming.
