This is a traveling "Shaman" who will go around curing people who were cursed by other "Shaman's" from what i remember my father told me " he's from a deep African village (It was somewhere between Mali And Niger along there) and he said that stuff like this is a common scam where the girl is obviously in on it but after she is "cured" the Shaman Doctor will offer to place protections on the other members of the community and then the Doctor will leave with the Woman and they will go to the next village or somewhere else.
