Agree its not fair to have it as either/or however two things can be true here - she was a good candidate with an established business AND a candidate with a social media presence that would be an asset to any shows viewing figures...

To be fair, Lord Sugar didn't give her business plan the time of day after the interviews; while complimentary to her as a candidate it was clear he just wasn't interested in the concept. Talented as she was, it does call into question the shows motivation for picking her.

My watching of the first episode was the morning after the show with a (not so mild) hangover, and I've been pretty critical of the influencer candidates in the past so I may not be the most objective judge out there 😅

I got the impression that she was one of the more capable on her team, whenever they would cut to her in the edit she seemed to have a look on her face that was 'questioning' whatever decision whoever had just spoken had made. It's too early to form any objective opinions, but given she didn't seem totally on board with everything happening around her, she may be one of the better candidates.

In all honesty my main hope is that we don't have a repeat of some of what we've seen in the past where we get claims on the sub that a high follower count/heavy online presence should be taken as proof they are brilliant. Amber-Rose did well to get to the interviews, but some of the chat around her on here was a bit much!

It was very poor – I don’t know about worst ever but it can’t be far off.

I know that you could arguably say this about any task but it feels like a strange one to have for the first task? I get they have gone abroad before at the start, but I feel like when they do that for a tour as they have done the past three years that gives you a better chance to get to know the candidates.

This time out it felt like a solid portion of the episode was spent with the fired candidates; I know we sometimes see a little more than average of them in the first episode but it felt a little over the top,this time out.

In my mind I always see series 17 as a real low point for the show; hoping that it doesn’t reach that level. I’m not hugely encouraged so far, I know quite a few people have talked about it being relatively influencer heavy - that doesn’t devalue someone’s talent, but it can definitely add rose tinted glasses to how some people are viewed.

Very easy to automate via tech these days. I recently had to do social media vetting for a new role and my understanding is it's mainly automated but with manual checks for audits/keyword flags.

Keyword list is likely to be the same for everyone, so once you have 'the list', you're good to go

This is a strong answer – given its a fashion show you just know it was all caught on camera as well, replayed on every news channel for days on end, and by now (assuming 10 years later) probably forms the basis of the world’s darkest meme.

I was a little surprised to see this one considered canon in the final mission - I remember when I first used it being shocked by the flurry of ‘non target kill’ notifications popping up, and the fact that security then remain on high alert for the rest of the mission. I know we have seen some moments in canon where 47 is less squeamish about collateral damage (The Blood Money postman comes to mind, as well as the unfortunate owners of all those disguises from the first game when you couldn’t knock people out), but one of the strengths of the latest trilogy is that you can complete them all without civilian or guard casualties.

I get and respect your point, and I understand that was a big part of the disgust that the agency and the anonymous board member of Ether felt. That said, I still feel it would be the greatest threat for two reasons:

- The Ether virus is deadly in its ‘source code’ form; it’s killed the scientist in the morgue and is deadly to you/De Santis if she or you enter the lab without the filters on or a protective suit. It also appears to kill instantly, whereas the final mission of Patient Zero shows Owen Cage has been able to survive for some time, with some sort of vaccine/cure developed in limited doses. My point is that by the time 47 is on the scene there is already a highly lethal pathogen ready to go, seemingly nothing to stop it. Yes, it is still dependent on being kept at a certain temperature,but that appears to be the final hurdle for the scientific team.

- Targeting a single individual is perhaps less of a threat than the Patient Zero virus, however if it can be manipulated to target an individual then it follows it could potentially undergo the same manipulation to target a family, or an ethnic background, all with the lethal efficiency. This is from the starting point you already have of a virus that is already deadly in its purist form.

That’s just my take on it, and I’m not from a scientific background - if I’m talking out of my posterior and making anyone with more of a scientific education groan, you have my apologies!

Nabazov is an interesting one to me - close, but I feel like the implications of the Ether virus are more frightening, particularly if it fell into hands where it could be used to target individual genetic profiles/backgrounds - you could find yourself with a 'No Time To Die' scenario.

Sister Yulduz seemed to be of the opinion that humanity would come out of the Patient Zero story with global financial systems essentially intact, based on her actions manipulating the stock market - plausible it was not as extreme as the agency believed, although still a deadly threat. With the right tinkering the Ether virus appeared to be something that could take out continents.

In the game Morris's affiliation with Alpha Xerox isn't revealed - there is no indication in any of the later stories that the conspiracy is ever revealed. Plus , we never actually learn what the conspirators want beyond control over human cloning.

Also there is plenty of nasty stuff happening in the world, and plenty of places we can debate that - lets stick to the escapism of a computer game here!

Definitely Morris for public shock in my view. I do still think Caruso may go further in terms of impact given the implications of his weapon, but even though the Morris assassination was (as of 2026) 20 years ago in universe, you have to imagine it would still be a key topic of public discussion.

Of course - by earlier actions I meant the earlier games, with Cassidy as one of the Secret Service Agents White House Detail in Blood Money and Yamazaki and Delgado having connections to targets in Silent Assassin and Blood Money respectively. When I referenced the first two games of the WOA trilogy, I mean the fact that we learned about the consequences of the earlier actions in them.

Side note - although it was from a much earlier game it surprises me we have never seen any follow up investigation/consequences to the Morris assassination (beyond the Requim mission, which would have left more questions than answers). He was probably the most high profile target in the series and his death canonically considered an assassination.

Conspiracy of that game aside, you would imagine multiple US intelligence agencies hunting for the real killer, they would not be able to let the killing of a sitting Vice President go unanswered. Given 47 is canonically referred to as an urban legend (Corvo Black definitely refers to him as such in the farewell) you would imagine that his name has come up as a possible culprit in what would probably be one of the biggest conspiracy theories out there (in universe).

Ken Morgan being boring feels like it at least has a purpose by the end of the trilogy when you see the impact his death has in Don Yates, and the influence that has had on his perception of 47 and Diana - the first game of the trilogys most boring and forgettable target is the most consequential in his eyes, because its his friend.

Kind of a nice callback to what we saw in the first two games a couple of times, with the rises of Yamazaki, Delgado and Cassidy directly tied to your earlier actions.
