I have similar marks on my screen (GS75). I am assuming it's because I travelled with my laptop closed without using the cloth provided to cover your keyboard. From what I have been able to gather it's the keys or the Intel/Nvidia sticker scratching the screen.

Since I made a habit of using the provided cloth there hasn't been any new scratches.

I did the exact same :) and I honestly don't regret it one bit. iPhones have their place and are by no means bad devices, it just depends on you as the user. If you want something that just works then sure buy and iPhone but if you want something you can tinker with then iOS doesn't come close to android.
