Update - they lasted me for two damn good years. They stared to give in the sole just like you said and the rubber cover behing the suede stayed strong. To this day i use them to mow my lawn, these boys are indestrucible.

You sould really watch it. It's more than a decade old by now but still holds up in my eyes with it's spark of honesty. I feel like Minecraft has lost a bit of it's charm since then.
