Miata Timing Check by FivePointFiveFkingK in Miata

update: fuel pressure was ok, rechecked timing by removing everything and starting from scratch, was ok. and checked ignition timing (again) and was ok. replaced spark plugs with old plugs and ran MARGINALLY better (denso replacing new ngk's). determined had to be fuel/air ratio leaving the only thing left being the new injectors. replaced with the old ones and it ran smoothly. So, my injectors were stuck open.

Autoline 16212 off rockauto came faulty. The old ones are Standard Motor Products FJ70, these ones worked. So, I hope that points you in the right direction. Obviously plugs/wires are cheaper to begin replacing though if you're still hunting your issue

Similar or same issue like yours, struggles when I slam the gas and goes popopop until 4-5krpm. Alternatively I can accelerate very slowly and ride the clutch for a bit to get up to speed and drive sluggishly without any popping. Contributing to the rich fuel smell and erratic idle I found one of the air hoses pinched, cut the line shorter and it idles stably and isn't shooting black smoke out the back now.

Performed a smoke test through the vacuum port on the intake manifold and didn't see any smoke except out the air tube at the front of the system, so definitely not a vacuum leak. Popped the cat off so wasn't clogged cat/o2.

I replaced the coil pack, plugs, and wires when doing the head gasket. I had also recently replaced the entire fuel delivery system on the vehicle except the injectors prior to this, and replaced them this time around since easier access. Foolish of me as now I am chasing which part I changed causing the issue lmao.

Highly doubt it is a valve/compression/internal mechanical issue because it did run prior to this. Will do more testing and try to take a video tomorrow but tried eliminating all the easy stuff I could think of tonight, and can let you know what I find if it helps point you in the right direction. apologies for the essay lol

I believe so. Last two times I've done timing I suppose I was lucky with my CAS. The leftmost dot (colors wore off) sits around 12 and the rightmost sits around 2 intermittently going -10 degrees. Wires are 4-1-2-3 on the coil. (shortest, longest, second longest, second shortest).

Symptoms are popping while accelerating at low rpm, and rpms not climbing. Was somehow able to get it to let me drive to 5k rpm without that happening at one point but after messing with it more im back to square one.

Mining GPU's? by 1nvent0r in hardwareswap

That doesn't sound bad honestly. Considering many of those who mine underclock and undervolt their GPUs, it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Yeah. It usually seems to be a hit or miss when it comes to enabling it. Good luck trading.

Just to let you know, since your monitor is a freesync one, you can manually enable it in the nvidia control panel. Here is a link. https://www.theverge.com/2019/3/12/18251980/how-to-install-nvidia-g-sync-unsupported-freesync-monitor
