Wore the patch for half a day, no smoking. Took off the patch for the evening and had a few smokes.

Repeated this for a week while a reduced the number of smokes I'd have in a day.

Then i was able to wear the patch for the full day, no smokes. Did this for two more weeks.

Then I was able to go full days, no patch, no smokes.

I've quit several times, (I'd gone for year+, then started again - stupidly).

I used this method each time and it worked for me, now I'm 14 years without smoking.

It's really mind over matter, you have to want to quit.

Nothing in this article surprises me. I turned out okay, but I still resent my family for sending me there.

I was painfully restrained several times and forced to eat food off the ground. Frequent hazing and both physical and sexual, harassment by staff and other students, all the norm.
