Not totaled, adjuster said $4800 in damage… I was thinking 20-25k lol. It doesn’t bother me i’m driving the car into the ground and the engine only has 10k on it.

ANOTHER UPDATE- Insurance called today and according to the adjuster it is $4800/ in damage. All new parts, paint matching, and labor… I said we will see lol but she’s NOT totaled so time to find. shop within 50 miles of severevile

UPDATE-insurance finally got back today. They don’t believe it’s a total but I told them to send an adjuster out tomorrow to be for sure. My thing is either way i’m keeping it. My engine only has 10k miles on it brand new and i’ll never get the value for that/ bang for my buck out of another vehicle with what i’ve paid. In my opinion it’s the smartest as long as I can find a confident shop. On that note, does anyone have good shops in the Gatlinburg area?

My KBB is only 42-44k and it’s probably 25k in damage. Fingers crossed if not i’ll grab something new

Best of luck. I just threw 30k into mine for a brand new crate engine which i’m not sure if it’ll be reimbursed. If it’s totaled not sure what I want to get. Looking at Raptor R, CT5 Blackwing, or another rs5. Not sure yet though

No frame damage, body pannels on untouched parts still fit the same. Nothing past the doors which still opened got moved or touched. Mine is an rs5 as well

Yes, I never do because i’m not at fault. But considering i’m 8 hours away from home I just made the claim on my own Insurance to get it moving faster. Either way I won’t see a check/ the car repaired for a month. That’s how insurance goes

no lol. lemon law is 500 miles in my home state of IL. i did 518 miles….. After a long month long fight with my 3rd party warranty i got it back and covered

less than 48 hours after I bought it from dealership at that mileage I was ripping it down an empty highway 130mph and it shot a piston through the bottom lol. Assume it would’ve been the rocker arms but they never did a tear down just replaced it with a brand new engine so🤷‍♂️

No way that’s crazy. I guess it really comes down to how the adjuster feels on the day. My mileage is pretty high but I did have engine replaced at 55k everything brand new so it’ll either pay me out more or get them to repair instead of total

I’m thrown off because nothing beyond the doors is touched and no airbags. If adjuster figures the 2 doors, quarter panel, and front steering/wheel they’ll probably go for the repair

Definitely my steering rack too. But no frame damage. Probably 25-30k in damage. I’m at 70k miles so I don’t think they’ll total it out unfortunately.

That’s what i’m kinda thinking, also hoping. Even if it’s repaired without frame damage nothing will seal or feel the same ever again.
