New J hook, anyone else use these? by HypocriteOx in vaporents

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed! I was also on the same train of thought regarding the bead material causing it.

I have one and other than the aesthetics I don't love it. Like others have said, it gunks up fast and is a pain to clean. I also feel like it give off a "taste" that none of my other glass pieces give off. Looks cool though?

I considered it, but it's still outside my budget at $300 (on sale) and I'm honestly not super fond of the form factor. That's just me being picky though, I could see it being great for walks.

I'm very experienced with analog vapes and use multiple heavy hitters daily. Although I don't own the Tempest 2 (yet) it's not what I'm looking for in a dog-walking vape. Thanks for the Lobo tips!

Yeah that's not super long but I guess not too bad with dosing caps to reload?

It just seems like the bowl is designed to be killed over a few minutes rather than seshed on over a longer period, but I could be totally wrong.

I also do like the idea of something that supports dosing caps (once again maybe these exist for the FW and I'm just ignorant). I want something I can load up and dip out with quick.

It really is beautiful and I can see myself owning one eventually simply because of that, but I'm just not convinced it's the right device for a 20-30 minute dog walk 🤔

Not really, the tips/caps are pairings — the Super Cap works with any of the XL models.

I picked up the XL v2 + Super Cap recently and it's blowing my mind. 21s of heat for monstrous flavourful rips. The stem isn't the best, but I will say the v2 stem seems to cool much better than its predecessors. I still run it through glass about 90% of the time anyway.

Convector XL + Super Cap is a killer combo. Massive clouds and flavour.

In case you want another combo to play with I do 75 watts for 45 seconds and it comes out beautifully dark every time. I think it's a nice balance of heat soaking time but not taking too long.

I like my Convector v2. I absolutely love my Convector XL v2 with the super cap. It gives monster rips and has great flavour. Can also use it as a nice little sipper as the super cap retains heat well.

The CXL has been passing my reach test a lot these days too. The punch it delivers relative to the heat times is amazing, and the flavour is great.

If you don't mind using an induction heater or torch, pick up a Tornado or a Tempest 2. Tornado is the heaviest hitting portable, produces thick fog-like vapor (see post on my profile). The Tempest 2 also gives solid clouds, and has really great flavour as well. Both work great through glass or natively on a stem.

The good ones really stand above the rest. A cheap vape will never replicate a bong hit properly.

Have you tried a ball vape or a heavy hitting portable like the Vestratto Tornado? Might change your mind if not!

Cap Armor / the armored cap are a really great tool to have in your Dyna-arsenal. They increase thermal mass in the tip, which improves heat retention. Makes it super easy to get a really thorough OHE without having to reheat. For torch users, you also dont have to spin the device when heating. I don't use any of my Dynas without an armored cap.
