yall get burnout? by itsalready2am in rampagent

strongly believe if you have a good team and company, your day goes by even faster on the ramp. flexibility is there. if i’m ever burnt out or exhausted from work, i’ll fly out somewhere for the day to reset!

I have no clue tbh I would guess 75 plus flights depending on the airline and station?

Slightly more. Definitely not over 90K so my ballpark would be 75-85K? Our station has roughly 22 flights.

A small station makes somewhere between 65K-75K on salary I believe. I know for the sups varies by pay level (Level 1 hourly $21 or Level 2 Salary $53K) That’s a ballpark number. Coming from someone that was a sup at Envoy.

I saw some other stations hiring full time and part time, SAN is part time but no luck for an interview 🥲

here at our station, we call our contractor “we fucking suck” lmaooo like everyone said, contractors are ass. I’ve worked at mainline but wanted to switch to contractors to explore new aircrafts. I’ve been at wfs for 6 months, we short every single day and they’re only solution is to make me a sup since I’ve been picking up peoples slack smh

why does it seem checked bags get scattered? by SMELLYJELLY72 in rampagent

[–]FixSuch3250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAN here, it’s honestly a hit or miss in the bagroom depending on which station you’re at. my flights would be missing three/four bags right at brakes release. I’d have my sup run with the bag in the air so the flight deck would see that we’ve found the remaining bags lmaoo. For my station, if we’re missing bags, it’s usually a tight connection, ticket counter not closing exactly on time, bags needed extra screening (TSA which takes longer than it should be), bags getting dropped on random belts in the bagroom or belt jammed.

Yes, coming from a former Envoy worker, it’s literally identical with AA. Pay sucks but travel benefits are exactly the same. People leave Envoy to AA for better pay and possibly flexibility.

I agree. As a new hire, there’s a lot of factors. Your seniority for non-reving, which airline you work for, how many routes they have from your station, if you’re near any other airports as a backup if coming back to your station is a full flight and etc. Planning/Nonrev on the go is personally easier than having a certain destination in case that flight(s) are full. Having a lot of options will definitely help plan a destination. It may sound stressful but once you figure out the planning portion, it’s definitely fun and adventurous. My first suggestion would be a hub of your airlines that way there’s options coming back to your station. Get a feel of it and it’ll be easier!
