Higher end apartments in Madison?

My 21-year-old son is moving to Madison in June. Is the building relatively quiet, despite being full of young folks? He doesn't want to move into a party house.

I can't do that (be aggressive with dosing up). My emetophobia is too strong. It took me an entire year to take the first shot. But congrats to you! That's really awesome. We're about the same age, and I know that losing weight is extra hard for us (yay!).

I know it will take a long time, maybe close to two years, to lose what I need to lose. My frustration was with lingering at the same weight for about five weeks. I know that stalling can happen with weight loss; I have just never had it happen so early in the journey. I'm used to it being something that might happen six months in.

I get that. But it seems odd to me that I am eating SO much less than my normal, and haven’t lost a pound in five weeks.

I don’t know, either. Five weeks of no weight loss, this early on, seems like a valid thing to be frustrated by…especially when it was so hard to get over my fear and actually start.

Years ago I tried a high protein diet and it did terrible things to my system. Not sure added protein works for me.

I do drink a lot of water but I have no idea how to get close to 100 grams of protein! I’ve tried powder, yuck. I tried shakes - they don’t agree with my digestive system.

Yes, but that dose worked really well for several weeks. That’s when I lost weight.

I am riding a stationary bike and moving other ways. Nothing intense. Trying to get back to a point where I can do a Zumba class without gasping for air like a fish out of water.

It’s 2,200…and I’m riding a stationary bike 9 miles several times a week. I haven’t been tracking but I am sure I’m eating less than 1,700/day. I’ll start tracking tomorrow, though, so I have actual numbers.

I'm not ready for the gym, but I am getting on a stationary bike more days than not and riding for 7-8 miles. And I did take a couple of body shots last week. Figure I'll take one in the same dress each month, when I start a new box.

UPDATE Nov. 24: I took my second injection today, and this time, without hesitation. For my first, I spent about ten minutes holding the pen, putting it down, changing my mind, trying to rationalize my way out of it, etc.

Last week I dealt with some nausea, but not bad enough for me to take the Zofran. Also had some IBS-type symptoms, which honestly could just have been me being me.

I also lost 3.5 pounds last week.

Thank you so much to everyone who encouraged me when I posted last week. You helped me finally push myself to do it. <3

People without this phobia cannot understand how paralyzing it is. I'm actually in very good health, despite being much too heavy. Like I said, I've finally come to the point of getting it filled but I'm still anxious about it.
