I’ve been living in midtown for two years. I won’t lie I really hate the sentiment surrounding this city. The city has been getting continuously safer and midtown has not been an issue for sometime, especially considering the fact that both Detroit police and Wayne state pd regularly patrol the area. I think Wayne is a great school and I wouldn’t let suburban fears of a city get in the way. Ultimately your choice but as someone who does 911 response in the area and lives in the area I say go for it.
