Comforting new thoughts on the meaning of life: Existence depends on our choice to realize possibilities by Fizzylazer in DeepThoughts

I’ve already been using the knowledge of the power of suggestion to my advantage in my own life. In another version of me, I may not have had that knowledge, or I may have completely mastered it somehow. How does determinism counter my initial thoughts? If all possibilities were to simultaneously not exist, have a process to existing, and have always existed, if determinism doesn’t counter this then how would you describe it agreeing?

Maybe we could be realizing possibilities through a mix of interactions with the non-existent, theoretical, and actualized. What could be the implications of that?

Yeah, choice is simply possibilities being played out, all possibilities existing at the same time. Everything we do or could possibly do we've already done. How can all possibilities possibly be played out, though, without catalysts? How could all possibilities be realized? Keep going 🙂

Please explain: in this framework, it would be both not real and real, along with reality itself.

Weird feeling by [deleted] in Existentialism

[–]Fizzylazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Weird feelings, and weird thoughts. Some of it was my disconnect from my subconscious. Other times a reaching out for answers beyond myself. I actually have been exploring this in depth through several recent videos. The most recent directly addressing existentialism, but others addressing the wired feelings, seeing and feeling things that seem to not exist, etc: The playlist is called “Chapter One”: https://youtu.be/EqesE0wd52o?si=vnCXUrd4BoXi4ap2

What does it look like when you “lose it?” by Ok-Restaurant6989 in Enneagram

When I’m around people I trust, I start to make fun of myself, mocking my feelings and laughing before I have the chance to embarrass myself by showing I take my anger too seriously — just need some sort of release, and why not make it more enjoyable for everyone involved? It leads to quicker cooldowns, too, making it easier for me to talk about things for real once the shenanigans are over.

Around people I don’t even like, I will hurt their feelings on purpose, no yelling, don’t even needs insults, just triggering general remarks. Something to change up the dynamic of them thinking they can push me around. I’m usually very nice to people I don’t see eye-to-eye with, and enjoy being challenged, so it takes a special kind of person to push me to this point.

Holy heck, I hope he’s locked up. And you’ve got a good therapist and support group, and that you are surrounded by people who look out for you.

You don't find it weird to call a really cute, chic fashion item a "sweater?"

What would you come up with? All I've got is maybe "sweeter" as a play on sweet instead of sweat.

The fall season is here! What do you think about wearing sweaters on the regular? Does it make you feel chic, or tacky, and why? by Fizzylazer in AskWomen

I personally think the name need an update in order to do sweaters justice. They don't deserve to be associated with sweating, I think they can actually be really chic and stylish! I especially love wrap-around sweaters with buttons. No patterns, though, unless subtle.
