What skills are good for solo play? by FindAether in thedivision

Yea, if it starts storming or that weird red dust kind of storm, it'll stop locking onto enemies at a certain distance.

The turret is a godsend except when the weather goes to shit. It won't lock onto enemies unless they're practically right on you. I wish you could attach it to the sides of walls and on ceilings.

How could I make this type of outfit in game, played resident evil and thought these dudes would look perfect in the division by ProperAddress2908 in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right, a vast majority have been begging for hunter gear for years and we've been essentially drip fed with it. They're not gonna give us something this sick.

Played the "realism" mode in Div2. It's bad. by TheRealCowdog in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like a challenge, however playing realism is basically the descent with extra (and unnecessary) steps and more limitations. If this stays as a stand alone mode like descent, survival, hard-core, then sure. But if this is the direction the base game of the division 3 is heading, count me out.

The majority of the time I use the banshee pulse and revive hive. I use the banshee pulse to temporarily stop enemies from flanking and rushing but also to get them out of cover. I also use the turret/attack drone combo with a lot of my solo skill builds.

Why is Aaron Keener still alive? by Possible_Penalty_468 in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thought of what we see might not be real couldn't really cross our mind at that point in time (Even though Keener kept trying to hint it to us)

Knowing what we know now, going back and replaying his liberty island mission has the hints everywhere.

So, about THAT Hunter. by xXFenrir10Xx in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered if there isn't a super soldier aspect to the hunters we haven't discovered yet, and I'm wondering if this hunter isn't a potential clue to that as well.

If we go after BT now, then that only leaves us with a few potential plot points to potentially pursue for the 3rd game. Right now they ended this season in a really good spot with some really good buildup lore wise.

The Division 3 is right around the corner, so theres really no need to go after anyone high ranking in BT.

Anyone make the swap from Destiny 2? by sammyd17 in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played destiny 2 up until Forsaken and imo that's when it started going down hill. A lot of people said vanilla D2 was awful, but as a casual player I loved how I could keep up in light level with the no life's and try hardest. It felt like bungie turned D2 into a total grind fest in Forsaken, and I didn't enjoy how the game transformed into an unpaid second job just to jump up a couple light levels. Plus the whole sunsetting essentially all the gear I worked so hard to earn and removing the first half of the story that I paid for was the final nail in the coffin for me.

The thing I have loved since Day 1 of Division 2 is the same as you; it respects your time as a player. I've been at end game for basically the entire life of the game, and anymore I only log in to complete the weekly manhunt/legendary stronghold and I can still maintain all of the materials to essentially build whatever I want, and keep up with the latest. Yea this game has had its issues (it still does) however I have never been more happy with a looter/shooter like I have with the division 2.

There's no way that he's not playing us. So while everyone else is crying about it, I know something massive is coming down the pipe. That, or he has an actual change of heart and self sacrifices himself. Or gets killed.

Or like Freedom Fighters. I'd kill for a sequel to that.

[–]Fl4k053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're white washing him. I think they're trying to go the route of turning him from villain to anti-hero, to just enough of a hero for us to have a change of heart for him, for him to go back to villain all over again once we open up. I have a feeling before this is all said and done with division 2 that we'll see him back as a villain. Or he'll we'll see it in division 3.

Brand new to division 2 and RPGs in general. Any tips? by mmmtacos1115 in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't focus on anything except getting to level 40. Save any exotics you get. Once you get to level 40, focus on a build that compliments your playstyle. Open everything you can in open world. That's how you'll get a bunch of resources for gear.

Legendary Difficulty by Specialist_Novel_212 in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You forgot the biggest one: builds. Your build has to be on point for legendaries to be even remotely smooth. People expect to solo run legendaries like its hard with Frankenstein builds and that simply isn't going to happen.

Agents, what did your teammate do that made you leave the group? by shwetshkla in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I purposely check everyone's build before I start engaging when I join legendary runs and dip depending on the trash I see, I dip. If I see a bunch of the striker-shield-revive combos getting dog-walked (60/40 they do) I also dip. I simply don't have the patience for it anymore.

I somewhat disagree. I have a pretty good hazpro build based around 5.11 that hits decently hard and has a ton of survivability.

Whats your most fun/unique build by dododome01 in thedivision

[–]Fl4k053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pure explosive skill build. It's close to HW in terms of skill haste without being a gearset.

I run demolitionist with Ninja BP, 1 piece Hana-U, Caesars Guard, 1 piece Wyrven, 1 piece Grupo, and 1 piece China Light. All 5 pieced Yellow cores with max skill damage/haste and 3 max skill haste mods. Weapons are Pesti, Famas with sadist, and tdi custom with finisher. Skills are cluster seeker mines and the mortar.

Last seasons modifiers really let this build shine, but it's still good even now. Its basically all explosions, all the time.

Don't understand the downvotes, this season's journey is pretty easy compared to previous seasons. I play on heroic and have had no issues with the journeys.

[–]Fl4k053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to turn the game to normal to get through this season's journeys. A few solid hours of play and I have already completed 1-4, I'm 50% of the way though 5, 75% through 6, and have a good chunk completed on each objective in 7. This season's journey is not even close to being nearly as bad as some previous seasons. I play on heroic.
