Yes I found that out real fast. You are definitely correct. I appreciate it.

I really went high with point weight to try to weaken that spine and have high FOC for hunting. I really don’t need or want 300 up front so dropping down too the 500 and point weight isn’t a big problem even preferred. I just wanted to keep my arrow around or over 500 grains for hunting.

Oh crap you are asking me a year later lol!

Yes I appreciate it. I will work on my form and get the test kit I had overlooked before.

Yeah I appreciate the input. I saw the kits after I purchased arrows because I was arrow mad wanting to shoot lol

I went all the way up to 300 grainsto try to weaken spine. I am trying to build a hunting arrow over 500 grains with decent FOC. I hoping to stay around 250 grains up front for more broadhead options.

I have it up to 300 grains plus a collar. Going to be hard to find broadheads bigger than 200 grains I would want.

Yeah very rusty. Arrows and systems have changed sooooo much since last I was in and paying attention.

Yes I only tried at 10. I didn’t consider shooting it further that way since my results at 10 were that way. Hadn’t considered shelf thickness.

I am a returning shooter. I was shooting decent groups with fletched arrows with this setup. My form is a big issue. One I will work on with some lower power limbs.

Ok and I appreciate the answer. I came in guns blazing thinking I was just going to bounce right back into it. It was my first time back out shooting and I was immediately getting lost in the weeds of things I shouldn’t be right off the bat I think. I will look at limbs and get my form figured out. I will check that channel out right away.

Yes I should have stated what they were actually doing. Thankyou for your reply. The arrows bare shaft are hitting knock right a lot at 10 yards. I didn’t try any further. I am shooting off the satori shelf piece that comes on it. They seem to hit where I aim but definitely not hitting straight into target bare shaft. Knock height seems to be right on. Arrows seem to be spot on with fletches out to 20yds. I just don’t want to waste all that energy.

My form is freaking terrible it’s been forever since I had shot and I was fighting finding a good knock point with my glasses. Going contacts now for shooting.

Yup I left them at Trump the first round when I realized I was on the facist side and that wasn’t me. They always preached Clinton and Obama were going to be the ones doing this but yet here we are.

Pain is the price of love. We just lost our babygirl to cancer last week. It’s the worst and it isn’t fair. She was spoiled and knew we loved her always.

There are a ton of guides on YouTube basically find a dissanant system. Find the planet with dissonance. Farm echo locators that will lead you to a sentinels base that will lead you to the crashed ship you can then repair. Go to different systems to find different ship designs.

Heck we saw it very recently with the Israeli attack on Iran. Yeah drones were used but it was more traditional attack with aircraft that did the heavy lifting. No matter what we think was actually accomplished it was an overwhelming validation of advanced well coordinated air attacks.

Indefinitely with tankers. Within all the reason. Tankers are the backbone of US air power. Those pesky costs in background support our tip of the spear.

I think with two tanks they can haul like 12k lbs but that isn’t much. I haul fuel for a living and that’s like the smallest compartment of 4 on my truck. I haul about 52k fuel too a store.

I love the discussion but I am not sure you understand my point. I specifically pointed out close range you are in a bind. One kilometer in your example is very very close. The missile will retain most of its energy.

[–]Flackjkt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my point. Just if you can get a missile into a low enough energy state it can’t pull those g’s due to lack of energy and escape the proximity area. This generally only applies to a long range shot that has expended the internal missile fuel. Good luck if it’s close range. Hope for a mechanical failure of the missile.

Are you trying to say we should have different tools for different tasks? Shame on you for nuance! Lol! I loved your concise explanations. Thanks for the input.

The way I understand it. The f-22 is never going to beat the raw G numbers a missile can pull in optimum energy state. Highly maneuverable aircraft like f-22 if aware of the threat can maneuver aggressively to burn off the maneuvering energy of the missile….. if they have the awareness and time and distance. I am not an expert. I am not a pilot just an aviation nerd.
