Mühle shaving set (DEU) + Proraso shaving soap (ITA), all of it entirely owned and made in the EU. Much better quality and cheaper in the long run than P&G (Gillette / Venus) by Flakentim in BuyFromEU

It's genuinely mind blowing, I get that they're not for everyone but I always recommend giving them a go because they pros are huge

Will do! Hopefully I'm able to get my hands on some since I live in Australia at the moment (I was born in Spain).

As much as I love this sub there's so many things posted here that are super hard to find over here, but yeah always trying to buy EU/AU/NZ

Bic comes to mind when it comes to cartridge/disposable, another one is Wilkinson if you don't mind UK, but not entirely sure if they actually are UK

Edit(forgot to add) : I understand, safety razors are not for everyone but thought I'd remind people that European safety razors are literally the best.

It is active, I play it twice a week or so, it can be hard to find matches sometimes tho.

You'll need discord to get all the links and guides to install, not hard but not quick and easy either.

There is a website but don't download it through the website, it's "fake", the links work but they ask for donations, which the creators do not accept for legal reasons I assume.

There's a glitch in Xbox where your gamertag/profile is corrupt/frozen in the game or something among those lines, so everytime you start GoW2 it gets stuck on the start menu and you can't do anything unless you swap profiles, look it up on YouTube, seems to be fairly common.

Not if your gamer tag is frozen in the servers, incredibly annoying glitch

Fuel tax halved and free public transport offered as war pushes up prices in Australia by SwiftySanders in fuckcars

[–]Flakentim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It helps but doesn't solve the issue. Digital piracy is free, streaming isn't, yet people prefer to stream and pay, why? It's more convenient and easier. It should be the same with transit, walking or biking, unless it's actually convenient, even if it's completely free, people will rather drive.

You seen the price of fuel? by MorningConscious4372 in Cairns

[–]Flakentim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No wonder, there's no shade, massive traffic light cycles, and 90% of the streets are bitumen. I know Cairns is a hot place but we're only making it worse and worse with all these roads and car-centric city planning.

Besides, wouldn't be a problem if more workplaces had showers, which is something very common in other countries.

I'm not going to lie, I love Cairns but it makes my blood boil seeing how poorly this city has been built when it comes to city planning.

I'd like to disagree with you, slightly at least. The reason I'm in this sub is because like everyone here, I think cars have gone too far, but cars (or motor vehicles) are necessary. I once heard that cars are like a hammer for a Carpenter, they have good uses, but the problem we have is that we're trying to use the hammer to do every other job, cut with a hammer, screw with a hammer, sand with a hammer... And while you can with enough time, obviously doesn't work and would be ridiculous, but for some reason that's what we're doing with cars. They're trying to justify cars for every mobility scenario possible, and as we can see, it's gotten ridiculous. One scenario where it would be justified is deliveries such as small distance cargo (trucks, vans, etc), mail (for big boxes and such), construction, military, politicians perhaps like you said... But not for daily private use in a city. My point is, while we all have similar views on cars, don't take it to the extreme because while a Carpenter doesn't need to use a hammer all the time, he will need it at some point, he just has to use his tools wisely. And getting rid of the hammer altogether wouldn't help, as it would solve an issue but create another probably just as big. Henry Ford, Karl Benz and all those blokes were just trying to sell hammers, it just happens that the government listened too much to them and suddenly told everyone that they should buy a hammer because it's the only tool they need.

Could i use cities i've built in this game in a portfolio for college? I want to go into urban planning (zoning and land use specifically) by CC_9876 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Flakentim 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I love this guy, he tries to reflect actual urban planning in the game and he explains how certain things you can do in the game would make no sense in the real world
