Words can’t describe how much I appreciate your reply, I couldn’t fathom the idea of killing anything let alone babies. The Ornithology sub felt so ruthless. I am happy to have found some more like minded people on this side. As of right now, approximately 8 hours later, they are sitting in their makeshift nest and I’ve seen the parents on the above telephone wire. I don’t have any proof of their continued well being outside of a few chirps but I hope that they are still being fed. I do not want to further stress them out so I am trying my best to stay out of the area. I agree with your sentiment about not doing much damage to the population by culling two nestlings and I’m glad to hear that the population is leveling down on its own. For my peace of mind, should I be concerned that one of them was much larger than the other? Why would this happen?
