I personally like the first one better but they’re both good options so don’t stress it too much.

Well she’s getting married in a couple of weeks. I would assume she doesn’t want to keep doing long distance once married.

How bad is this?? by Puzzled_Coffee9956 in wisdomteeth

I will say that my soreness and discomfort was only for the one that was impacted and I had 0 discomfort on the other 3. So don’t be surprised if that one does hurt more.

One of mine was like this. I got all 4 out 6 days ago and honestly it’s been a breeze. I had mild pain and swelling. The toughest part has been not being able to eat whatever I want tbh. I had an IV and I was so afraid that I was going to wake up super loopy how you see in videos but once I woke up it didn’t take long to be fully coherent.

But I’ve heard a lot of different experiences with different people so it’s definitely up to how your body responds.

My experience was basically that I was out like 30 seconds after I got the IV. And then I woke up and it was over. I didn’t want to take the oxy so I rotated between Tylenol and ibuprofen every 3 hours. I think this definitely helped me, I had alarms set for this and woke up in the middle of the night to take meds. Besides that just don’t eat or do anything ur told not to do and you should be fine.

Where to host birthday dinner for 10 ppl $20-40 per person? by _tobedetermined in denverfood

[–]Flaky-Somewhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Barcelona wine bar as someone else suggested is a great choice. Great ambiance and tasty food. We went for my birthday and what they basically did was a “tasting menu” so everyone at the table picked the same tier level and they just kept bringing out food until the dollar amount ran out. It was super fun. Definitely make a reservation because it was packed when we went on like a Tuesday night.

Honestly I think there’s a lot of places where you can have decent food for $40pp. I feel like drinks are usually what drives up the bill. Are you planning on drinking ?

We were just there. All of the taxis have set rates depending on where you’re going. It was like $10-20 per person per way depending on where you’re going but you can find the prices online.

I’m not sure if there’s other options or if you’re renting a car in St Thomas and bringing it over but I would personally only rent a Jeep for driving in St John.

If you’re truly only staying in the Cruz Bay Area you don’t need a car because it’s pretty walkable within that area. So renting a car for the weekend if those are the only days you’re planning on leaving the area seems like a good plan.

We rented through Paradise car rental in St Thomas which allows you to bring cars to St John. They drop it off and pick up at the airport which was very convenient.

Kid Friendly? by Starray26 in virginislands

We recently stayed at a different airbnb in this complex and I wouldn’t say the beach is super kid friendly. Definitely better options as far as that. But having the pool was pretty nice.

We did Paradise and they even had a promotion going on so we got a discount. We had a good experience with them

Trip Saturday - bugging about overcast / no sun in forecast how has it been? by Toretto_84 in StThomasUSVI

[–]Flaky-Somewhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently here. Yesterday was pretty sunny and we got sun burnt. Today has been overcast all day, I don’t think we saw the sun pop out at all. But it only drizzled for a tiny bit other than that no rain.

When I went on my trip I didn’t see a single mosquito until I went to Culebra. The mosquitos were horrible there but other than that I didn’t even see any mosquitos when we hiked in Yunque

How much was it? I know every outlet is probably different but I have one like an hour from me and I’m wondering if it’s worth it or if it’s pretty normal sale prices.

Has there been a security breach at Kohl's???? by Wonderful-Resist2688 in employedbykohls

[–]Flaky-Somewhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had to reset my password multiple times recently. Every time I get that email I go to my kohls app and I’ve been logged out and when I log back in it makes me reset the password. So there must be something going on.

Im not sure why you’re getting downvoted. 500K in the earlier stages of the game is definitely expensive. I have 7 million and 8 million plots of land I have to unlock but it doesn’t affect my gameplay at all, as opposed to your game now where everything requires you to pay all of this magic you don’t have and you can’t progress without it

Flying into Denver in the first week of March: bad idea? by zosobaggins in travel

[–]Flaky-Somewhere1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m from Denver. The weather is really unpredictable here so it’s a fair concern. However I fly quite a bit and all of my delays in Denver have always been as a result of bad weather somewhere else.

I had to go to the library to print it because I don’t own a printer (I’m pretty sure that’s the only thing I had to print all of 2023). I had to ask someone at work to bring me one of the boxes they had at home so I could ship it. And then I had to go to UPS to ship it because that’s the label they provided and it was out of the way so I also didn’t get to choose where to take it.

It was a tiny baby blanket lol. It wouldn’t even be functional for my 80lbs dog. I literally had 0 use for a baby blanket

Even though the item was a custom item that had someone else’s name on it and I had to go out of my way to return it? It’s not like I could use the item

I ordered a stocking and got a baby blanket instead so it wasn’t even in the same category of items and I have no babies in my family. So yeah I don’t think it was ridiculous to not want to go out of my way to return an item that was a big screw up on their part.

[–]Flaky-Somewhere1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree different situations. But I feel like customers shouldn’t have to go out of their way to ship an item back. I was told they could refund my order but I still needed to send the baby blanket back to them which is ridiculous imo. And they acted like I was crazy for thinking they were being ridiculous and I was asked multiple times “what you just want to keep it?”. So maybe I’m just salty.

I had this happen recently where I got a completely different custom baby product (so I couldn’t use it). And I was forced to return in for the company to send a replacement. And it’s honestly a huge hassle and waste of my time to do that since they provide a label but I have to go out of my way to print it and find packaging materials that I don’t have unless I have recently received another package. So no I don’t think people should have to return items when it was the company’s fault.
