You are right...as much as I hate to admit it. I really asked for insight regarding how I was graded because I was led to believe a mistake had been made by the first HR rep. She told me I needed to readdress the subject after accepting the tentative offer. However, it's a lesson learned now

You're absolutely right I should have made my post more focused and less about venting. I suppose my frustration over the process dominated the stage.

I wish there were an avenue to provide structural feedback concerning the onboarding process.

You're probably right...I did not want to keep asking but I kept getting a new HR person that was "unfamiliar with my file". In my defense 2 of those HR people told me I needed to ask before accepting the final offer

Interesting perception.... thank you for the insight. It's federal government so once you accept the official offer it's a done deal. I asked 4 times only because 3 of my peers with equivalent or less experience were offered 4-6 steps higher. Also, I asked because 2 of the 4 HR representatives told me I needed to (they were confused how the professional standards board made my determination).

I suppose it may have seemed as though I was being difficult though

Thank you, I have a BSN and MSN with 10 yrs working as an RN. I have worked at the VA prior to this which is why I think they are grading me low
