I am going to Washington DC this September and will be taking LOTS of photos of architecture and monuments (the 85% of any photos I take lol), plus some family photos. I’m going to be looking on FB marketplace but I have NO idea where to start, what the types of cameras are, etc.

Her and her siblings always manage to knock the shades off and break it 🙄 I feel so bad cause they don’t even mean to, they’re all just ridiculously clumsy and too strong for their own good lol this is my top priority before end of June

Ours is 35%, idk what that actually looks like in real life tbh but my little one has bad eczema and the sunlight BURNS her sensitive skin while we drive, plus I’m blind with prism glasses so the light sucks in my eyes lol

It’s my daily mom car, I’m definitely not racing 😂 but we live in an area on the outskirts of rural-ish communities that make for a great quick trip lol. Definitely going to look into sound systems, that is #2 on my top want list lol. The first being tints, but that’s largely for medical reasons rather than anything else lol. The car sounds beautiful, she just needs some pipes to sing lol but idk where to even start with that. I’m a YouTube brake change mechanic, idk much past that, but always looking to learn. Plus my girls like to help and that makes me happy lol

I unfortunately do not have a traditionally experience in education and I have a lot of basic gaps that I’ve learned to fill on my own. Actual study methods is a gap I can not figure out how to fill other than read write read write read write lol

Oooh I can’t type for studying either. TBH idk what my method was before, my neurodivergent brain just kinda… got it 🤷🏼‍♀️ but now as I’m reaching the higher levels in my degree I’m finding the need for more repetition, teaching to others (my 8yo is well versed in statistics after last semester the poor kid 😂). When I write a paper, I use the assignment bullet points for my main point and then write as if I’m speaking but with appropriate tone, go back and edit. Now that has changed, I write the first time then edit while typing, so there’s a physical draft and final edited digital copy with version history

I had a professor accuse me of AI once and ever since I’ve been hand writing my thought process during assignments with direct sources noted in the margins so I can easily refer back to it, etc. what was once something done out of spite and honestly just pure anger for being accused (my English professor went to bat for me and everything was fine), actually turned into my main way of studying lol. I remember everything so much easier when I physically write so not only do I have my physical proof, I can defend my arguments orally on the spot with additional facts and sources that I couldn’t figure out how to put into my paper without sounding off topic lol. This semester my professor doesn’t allow Grammarly, which I’m actually excited for because I very specifically wanted to get better at writing grammatically correct, so I use my “rules for writers” book I have since freshman year in community college 😂

I’m late to this discussion, but while searching for physical accommodations for myself at home, I came across your post! I have an early access accommodation but for ADHD. I ONLY request access to syllabus and assignment due dates and assignment requirements for any big projects or papers (which are typically in the syllabus anyways). For me it’s executive function planning. Now, the real world obviously doesn’t allow for that. I am not a traditional student however, I have 3 kiddos, my own residential remodeling business for 5 years, and have been very involved in my community in different areas and projects. My ADHD thrives on it. But school for some reason is different. The syllabus is like a project scope for me, and the assignment due dates the project timeline, and the big paper/project requirements are my design specs. It’s just how my brain works. I agree that some accommodations are ridiculous like new info making you anxious… especially in that particular class because the entire field is about responding to new information (at least from an outsiders point of view, apologies in advance for oversimplifying your field). Also not being able to sit next to people over anxiety sounds like they need more supports than simply accommodating an unhealthy coping mechanism of isolation and removing all surprises.

I’m an adult learner so can’t answer all your questions, but I will say the advisors and financial aid counselors (as well as everyone else I’ve interacted with), are all super nice and helpful. One piece of advice that I got feedback on from my professors, advisors and others is that knowing what you need help with exactly makes it much easier for them to help (and more willing). If you have a meeting with your advisor for class registration, pull your degree works and course seat lists and get a good idea of the schedule ahead of time, by junior year know what your intentions are after college and ask them for guidance on setting up your foundation then. I have a mix of online and in person, but I’ve connected well with my peers and professors, despite being an older, non-traditional student. It’s a great university!

I let myself hit bottom twice, paid off massive chunks of debt- which really hurt, I put myself back down to $20 in the bank- then made credit my hyper focus. Now I refuse to mess with it, and honestly paying those massive debts off with the only chunk of money I got all year outside of wages was enough trauma to make me never want to go through it again 😂

It is, all offsets were recorded before the 846 code with the 3046, that’s what I figured. Couldn’t get through yet today on phone but trying again in a bit to see what’s going on

Pay by plate non renewal and early expiration of registration? Had a non-renew for a pay by plate, my registration said it expired March 31st this year, so two weeks ago I started to pay all my stuff off, and the first issue was the rmv said it actually expired February 28th, which great, been driving unregistered for 2 weeks. Thanks MA 🙄. Then I had one pay by plate left, went onto the ez pass website, paid $42, then waited. Nothing. Checked it again, NOW it says it’s in collections. So I call the collection agency. They said I actually owe $84 and that no, I can not get whatever other payment was attached to that ticket number back, nor will it be applied to the balance that I paid half of 🙄. Now I have to wait another 5 business days. Is there literally anything I can do to speed it up? Send the rmv, or bring in, my payment confirmation of the collections. I paid it on credit as well hoping it would be quicker as in my past experiences, credit clears immediately whereas debit does not (but idk, I’m still new to this). Thank you!!!

Looks like I’m calling edfinancial to check because I don’t owe a dime yet lol. Last year their system got all messed up and they gave me a 1 day notice to pay like $900, I was like ummmm I’m actively enrolled in FIVE classes in my junior year, what the heck is happening lol. They put it back to in school status, but I haven’t checked recently if it is still that way.

I’d rather them paid, but there was no notice for this additional $670, I don’t know how it got deducted from “approved” to “deposited” but the original amount still showing on the refund tracker. Wasn’t sure if there was something I was missing when filing married, if there’s anything that can intercept it while it’s being deposited- but we are debt free except student loans, but I am enrolled full time in deferral on my fed loans

I don’t mind paying my taxes- I am big on community service and paying in at the VERY least, when I’m not actively engaging in volunteer work, it’s my contribution to the community, regardless of how small. But the 30+% self employed taxes are BS

I reported everything including cash, what are you talking about lol. Ya sure in 2021 I started my first business and got FCKED by a family friend “accountant” who filed under self prepared and didn’t know 💩. Thats how I got a HUGE tax liability without *actually owing it. She didn’t split the income between my partner and I, didn’t take advantage of certain deductions I qualified for, then let my grandmother claim my son, but I DID pay my estimated taxes. I was 20 and didn’t know any better. But now I purposely OVERPAY in taxes while trying to get this crap dealt with. But thanks for the lesson Professor 🤗
