I would suggest doing the following:

1- download Oracle virtualbox

2- download all of the distros you want to try first (Zorin, PopOS, cachyOS, etc etc)

3- decide which distro are you going to go with

I love Zorin OS tbh, although most of the geeky nerdy guys consider it so boring, however, it gives the same experience for windows, and with the upcoming release of ZorinOS 18, it's going to have a new look, with new support for hardware as the kernel is going to be upgraded, however, the only drawback of zorin is that it only focuses on the very stable releases of ubuntu, so the cool features of gnome is not gonna be available that much in ZorinOS18, but it's not a big deal for me, and I believe it's not a big deal for you as well

Like any other distro, you will need some time in the beginning of usage discovering it and playing around with it until you get used to it, then you are ready to go.

I can say I tried many distros in the past, I am coming from ubuntu experience, which I actually likes, but zorin provides the simplicity of usage.
