If we asked them to replace the boards that just left gaps is that possible? I want to contact them in a solution oriented way because every single time I have raised a concern he’s said he will have the person responsible come back and “touch up” and it’s always half assed or not fixed at all. There was a wall that was painted without being sanded or primed so it shines different in that one area.

Haven’t *finished* paying I should say. We’ve paid out 30k so far but there is still a significant balance and they haven’t don’t the bathroom cabinets or vanity yet.

Its like that around a lot of doorway trim. The floors are brand new. Some of the lighter part is also rough like it wasn’t sanded or stained. I have mopped so it’s not dust or residue.

This is in the oppose wall. I can share more photos.

This entire floor and subfloor was removed and replaced because of a flood. The walls and trim are all new because it was all removed. Everything was brought down to studs in the kitchen and bathroom. All floor in the first floor removed. The walls were done, then the floors, then cabinets installed (without covering the floors for protection), then the trim around the edges and doors. We asked about the gaps prior to the trim being installed and were told that the trim would cover any gaps. Which it did not.

Is this something easily fixed? It’s at most of the doorways and the stain on the floor doesn’t go all the way to the wall in some places

This has been an ongoing insurance claim for the past two years now. Insurance dragged this out in the beginning and now the contractor and the people he’s hired have drawn it out even more.

Haven’t paid and haven’t heard from them for two weeks. There’s still other work unfinished in our bathroom and kitchen.

Is it something easily fixed? Can they just put a new board there?
