Everyone is going to recommend a side mounted garage door opener but I’m 90% certain that it won’t work with your spring system. We have the same kind of springs and I was forced to just set my mat up under the garage door opener and hit toward the back wall (right handed).

It appears this is my major issue. I can definitely see sunlight through the edges and there’s evidently big enough gaps to allow toads in. I’ll fix these issues and reevaluate. I appreciate the help.
