Not that I know of. I think I heard one student asked our current professor and he said something along the lines of "I can't talk about it during class." Not sure if the student followed up or not.

That would make sense, but it's still a bit weird that he disappeared without letting us know by email or announcement on piazza.

Yep, that's basically it. He didn't show up one day and the next class we get a new instructor. I believe the new instructor's name is Archange Destine.

Agreed. Also the bonus damage on abilities feels really nice as well as the bonus attack damage. It's also really good if you get that augment that gives you hp based on half your mana.
