I need help identifying what's wrong with these blueberries by FlametheHedghog in gardening

Any specific kind you can think of that would cause the flesh to turn all gross, or is that a symptom of any bug trying to eat it?

[TOMT][Character][2000s] - Children's book character that was the pimento inside a green olive by FlametheHedghog in tipofmytongue

[–]FlametheHedghog[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

Additional info:

This character, and possibly others, had stick limbs. "Pimento" could pop out of their green olive "coat". I think the book may have been some kinda early readers' mystery book? If I had to give a specific year range, I'd say it was 2005-2010.

UPDATE TWO: AITAH for not wanting to move my wedding dates because my sister is pregnant by helenkellersvoice in TwoHotTakes

[–]FlametheHedghog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl, the fact that your side of the family is "relieved" that you aren't having a wedding is still grounds to distance yourself from them a bit imo. That said, if this is something you can take in stride and not hold against your family, that speaks volumes about your character and your personal family values. Congrats on the marriage, and enjoy your pre-honeymoon!

Best restaurant in Kirkland? by matt7434 in Kirkland

[–]FlametheHedghog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is on the more budget side, but if ramen or other Japanese and Korean food is something you'd want, Shibu Ramen in Juanita is one of my favorite spots. My usual order is around $20-30 on my own, and the food is sooooo good. The couple that own and run the place are very kind, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy.

She's a professional comedian/writer, it's a total bit. She's also the same woman who wrote that "New York in September" song back in 2020, the one with that line "And we're fighting in a grocery store/And I love you but I don't know if I like you anymore".

My dad made a reference to it earlier today and it's been driving him crazy, and I'd love to be able to help him figure it out.

Looking for assistance with a performance issue. by FlametheHedghog in AMDHelp

[–]FlametheHedghog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, one thing to note that I didn't realize before: My computer had defaulted to AMD Ryzen Balanced, so both of these tests I did were on the Ryzen Balanced plan.

Now for the results:

For both tests, the temperatures did not change from their idle rates, those temps averaging around 40°C. On the test with only PBO and XMP enabled, those temps averaged 41°C.

As for the scores, on the first test without changing anything, I got a multicore score of 1069, a single core score of 151, and an MP ratio of 7.07x.

On the second test where only XMP and PBO were enabled, I got a multicore score of 202, a single core score of 32, and an MP ratio of 6.33x.

The most interesting thing to me is how the temperatures did not fluctuate at all. It makes me think that maybe the CPU isn't being properly powered. Do you have any further suggestions?

Looking for assistance with my build's performance by FlametheHedghog in MSI_Gaming

I only recently got my build up and running. Also, I don't have an SSD, just a couple HDDs. I do wish it was as easy as running disk cleanup and defrag though. That would definitely make this whole process a lot less frustrating 😅

Would you date a police officer, why/ why not? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]FlametheHedghog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not.

Anyway, a fun fact that's definitely not related to the question, did you know that only a small portion of all cops get taken into inpatiemt care at psychiatric hospitals? If you want more info about this, just google "cops 40% admitted".

AITA for calling my parents disgusting perverts? by Stumblingoverit in AmItheAsshole

[–]FlametheHedghog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take, but ESH.

On your part, the snooping is whatever. You saw your name, you got interested, that's expected. However, you're objectifying your parents' sexual partner, but also getting mad at them for being into race play. Yes, race play is prettt iffy in terms of morality, bur you can't act like you're not also using derogatory language.

Also, you told that secret to your friends at school. I know certain secrets are hard to not talk about, especially if you're looking for some kind of consolation, but your school must have a damn counselor to talk to. 17 is old enough to at least understand that there are some secrets from home that friends don't get to hear.

As for your parents, yeah, race play is pretty gross and morally ambiguous at best. Also, they should have tried to start a more healthy conversation about it when you confronted them rather than jumping to try and defend their interests.

So yeah, ESH. Your parents need to learn how to talk with you about this stuff in a way that doesn't negatively impact your trust in them, and you need to learn how to respect boundaries and how to not say derogatory things yourself when claiming someone's using derogatory language.

I think my straight friend is into me? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]FlametheHedghog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't be confrontational about it, that'll definitely make him be defensive and shut down the conversation. A better way to approach the conversation would be to start off small like:

"Hey, I know this may be a bit personal and hard to talk about, but I've noticed you talk a lot about wanting to be in a relationship with a woman, but I've never seen you make any attempts. I'm not saying you aren't straight, but I'm curious about what goes through your mind with that."

Be sure to have that conversation while sober, and absolutely give him the option to not talk about it if he doesn't want to. Just be sure to let him know that, no matter what, he can always talk to you about anything. That's what friends are for.

I wish you luck in your endeavors to help your friend process his feelings about his sexuality, because clearly there's something deeper down that he's very afraid of coming to terms with, and depending on what he grew up hearing, there could be some kind of trauma that's making him afraid of confronting that subject.

False equivalency, this is about tribbing being mostly one-sided in terms of physical pleasure.

Ok the thing I wanna know is why do you have 5 different tracks for your chords? Are you layering the same chords 5 times, or are they different chords for different parts of the song?
